  • Wooo 60" Price Smash downs :)

  • I've been eyeing off this Sony one for a while. Can anyone answer this. I want to be able to stream from my PC to it via a network server or something. Will have to be able to play .mkv files.

2 guys at seperate JB Hifis reckons that Sony Tv's will cut the audio out while playing a movie for so long due to copyright issues?

Is this correct? Don't want to get caught with a TV that will be used in the media room.

If you're talking about Cinavia, I thought that only affected blu-ray players and the PS3?

    • This may be irrelevant, but I recently got the 50" Panasonic ST60 and tried to play mkv files over DLNA and it didn't work. Most of the MKV files were not even listed and the ones that are cannot be played. MP4 and Mov files are recognised and play fine though.

However the mkv files play fine if played over USB.

So I'm not sure if this is an issue with DLNA or just Panasonic TVs

  • OMG delivery killed this deal!!!
both are 100Hz, gonna be lag for these big screens. good price though.

    • I'm considering one of these TV's by lag are you referring to gaming? I've got a 100 hz Samsung that seems to work great with my Xbox 360, no lag in game mode - would these be any different?

        100hz is fine for 60".

ive got a 40" samsung with 100hz its awesome.
my friend has got a 60" samsung with 100hz, it lags.
oh well, depends what game you play…

      • You only really need more than 60hz for 3D or people that watch mainly sports. Don't think any games on Xbox360 or even the new gen consoles would benefit from >60Hz anyways.

Why did the boy fall off his bike?

      He had no arms.

      • How did he even get on in the first place?

Ps. Who would be so cruel to give a boy a bike when he has no arms. That's just horrible.

  • Delivery isn't $2 if you don't live in the Metro area. Healesville on the Urban fringe is $80-

    • Warrawong is $2 (ie. Illawarra). That's about as non-metro as you can get….

Anyone got display/input lag stats on these two TVs?
