Blanket is provided at the store at time of purchase so you could always just ask them to unfold one and let you inspect it before deciding to buy a meal.

I don't know it was staged or not. But from my experiences of late, I'm tempted to believe it.
On two occasions I've had chicken that wasnt cooked properly. (Ie. raw).
On another occasion my family has had food poisoning with KFC after a family feast that I bought.
i eat KFC every week and ive had pink chicken before and didnt eat it for ages.
but i eat it again now.
i remember a girl got really sick eating pink undercooked chicken.
sometimes when they are in a hurry to get your food ready they undercook the chips, but i dont know if that will make me sick?
