  • Cheaper to buy from GroceryRun.com.au (21c/each when posted to MELB) http://www.groceryrun.com.au/event/31473/product/finish-p-ba…

    • Strange, my total comes to 22.34 with shipping to Melbourne and that's for classic not All in One. So it's the same price for this better version.

      • NB/EDIT: I put TWO 90x packets of the Classic in the cart, and the postage was $8.88. My apologies for not being clear about that detail.

  • waiting for a quantum deal…. they seem to work better.

  • Can anyone recommend a good value bulk dishwasher powder as Aldi have discontinued theirs. It was $1.99 for a kilo, which lasted about a month. Did the job and worked out at just 6.5 cents a load.

Cheap dishwasher powder is better in my opinion as it affords more frequent washing and less intense Tetris stacking.

    • +1

i thought its always better/cheaper to have a full load everytime?

but i agree if you use powder it might be more convenient (in terms of using less powder and more frequent washes)… I probably could use the eco mode if i have a decent dishwasher powder instead of tablets. (tablets will not dissolve completely on eco)

      • Electricity and water wise, it's more efficient :). I bought a Bosch dishwasher and ECO works fine, tablets dissolve ok for me. They also used to dissolve in my old Westinghouse with ECO MODE
Re: quantum tablets - greatly overpriced.
        I know reject shop have finish powerball 110pk for $20 - if they're all-in-1, that's a good price. I can't remember if they are

        • mine is an electrolux strangely the tablets (quantum or the normal ones) don't do too well.

as for prices, last i got was about 38cents/tab for quantums… imo it works better than the max(?)/allin1 (there were instances I have to run it twice w/o rearranging as it wasn't clean) .. i've yet to try fairy plats, which apparently are good but pricy.

the other thing about quantums is that i find that i can get away with not putting in the rinse aid liquid.

    • Tried the really cheap Aldi one a few times, but found it didn't fully dissolve in our dishwasher, would leave white bits of powder on dishes. We use the one up, think it's called Logix lemon, always has worked fine.
Though in the last Choice review, the Quantum Powergel's came out in front, I think the Coles cheapo was the best performing cheap powder.

  • Was expecting scratchies…

  • It's not expired - still going but is $11 shipping well for me anyway (which is rather steep)

    • Not if you pay with v.me

      • I tried that and even with v.me its charging the $11 postage on orders today

    • The deal was really the free shipping yesterday if using v.me for payment - looks like $79 is the "regular" price and $11 shipping is standard and will be charged on orders today
