Good value Fans?

Any good value price fans that you guys can recommend? It doesn't matter if it is a floor, tower, or pedestal one. I'm looking for one around around $150.

if you are looking for a fan thats just gonna blow air around why would you pay more than $10? Just get a cheap kmart pedastal fan?
If you are looking for an evap air cooler then thats different..

    • Seems that most of those are $500+ and would use quite a bit of electricity.

      • That is an evaporative cooler. It'll only work at it's optimum if you live in a hot and arid (dry) place.
If it's humid where you live, then you shouldn't be using an evap unit, should buy air conditioning.

Be sure to keep your cooler clean, and the cooler needs to be regularly checked for any mineral-build ups.

    • Completely agree, I've got several fans which I bought years ago for less than $20 and they're all still spinning and blowing air!

      • I'm using one of those $10 fans, but I wanted something more powerful and more quiet.

  • Target sell a "linda" brand one for 100, it drips water though the system to cool the room (you tip a jug of water into it), else stuck paying 400-500 for one that puts a hose out your window.

    • one that puts a hose out your window

      I want to avoid that.

  • dealsdirect have a $59 evap cooler. + free shipping if you pay via V.me (paypal)
I can't vouch for the quality though, but i suspect fill it with icy water and you'll be cool (on not humid days)
