    Whilst the included USB 3.0 card reader looks nice and small, $43 seems a bit expensive.

        I calculated the price of the USB 3.0 card reader by subtracting the price of an equivalent micro SD card alone.

    I don't think that the prices are right for me! Can anyone point out as to why I should switch from Sandisk (low price lately on all types of cards) to Lexar?

    Francesca, for SD cards, once you go above 32GB, it becomes SDXC all of the time, not SDHC.
    You will need to amend your descriptions.

    These card readers are not worth anywhere near what you're selling them for. You can buy an entire card reader for under $10 that reads all formats.

    How fast are these Lexar Micros?

      Just like cards have different speeds, the device connecting them to your computer will also have different speed throughput.

    Unless I'm missing something, I don't quite get why a micro SD USB3 card reader costs $50+ when you can get many multi-card readers for far less.

      This card is by far the the highest speed for a 64GB, and the card reader itself is a USB 3.0
      SanDisk has 64GB for only 80MB/s.

    The card reader costs more than the card itself. This better be a really good card reader.

    In the case of the 64GB, they are exactly the same price.

      $59.95 if for a microSD card that currently has the highest speed.
      SanDisk 32GB Extreme microSD which runs at 80MB/s will cost $54.95 by itself in my previous deal.

          Well they must be losing extreme amounts of money selling the card at that price then right? Good thing they make it back selling overpriced usb adapters.

          I would rather they have been transparent about it. Selling a lesser known brand for cheaper than a better known brand is normal practice. If that's what they're going to do, they should only add $10 for the adapter. If they're trying to use an overpriced adapter to recoup any 'losses' from the card, then they shouldn't have been selling the card at that price to begin with.

          BTW, I've never gotten the speeds claimed by manufacturers. I highly doubt this card can do 80MB/s or whatever it is, in anything other than the staged benchmarks they used.

    The 64Gb Samsung Ultra UHS1 is $64 at MSY. Bought one last week.

    You guys posting about the cost of the card readers do realise that the ones with the card readers are not the same as the ones without? The ones with the reader are the top of the line ones recommended by GoPro for their cameras. I was interested until I read the reviews on Amazon. Good price compared with Amazon though.
