  • I'm looking for just stand alone premium. Does anyone know anywhere selling it for a decent price?

    • EA America? I got it through there a long while ago (Pre-ordered the Premium version for $75, $75 AUD was the asking price at that time by EA Australia for the base game..)

I'd like to direct anyone's attention to this post which details how to purchase BF4 + Premium for approximately $40 / $30 respectively. You'll be going through Origin via this method, so it's quite safe.

        • Yeah, I did this a week ago and worked like a charm.

Amazon will have Battlefield 4 (digital) for $29.99 during black friday sales.

    • has this been confirmed?

      • It's not live yet but has been confirmed by the Amazon Marketing Manager.

        • sweet! gonna definitely get a copy for that price, will it be region free? or the region wont matter as long as it's in english?

        • Region doesn't matter, the only one to be careful with is Russian keys that don't have an English option

(You might need a spoof US adress to buy thru Amazon)

        • where all this info coming from? any sources?

          nvm found it, http://www.vg247.com/2013/11/21/amazon-black-friday-deals-include-fifa-14-madden-25-battlefield-4-more-for-25/

anyway bf 4 is in a really atrocious state at the moment, random crashes and lack of guns bore me D:

I had a really good time with the $5 BF 3 a few months back where weapons literally get thrown at you after a few rounds of gameplay

With the way EA and DICE decided to lock all those standard weapons and gadgets away for standard edition (far worse than BF 3), together with a short and annoying campaign (towards the ending just makes me want to kill every member in my team), the game wasn't even worth the 37 USD paid, cause now to experience the full mp game with some weapon variety like BF 3 you gotta get Premium… or get stuck with an AK-12 till the sun rises at least 100 times.

Standard edition is only worth $20 at the most IMO and the MP feels more like a trial that you need a code to get the standard features unlocked and running.

BF4 has more guns and attachments than BF3. U obviously have to unlock them as you progress, that's part of the fun. And if ur still stuck with ak-12 either ur terrible at the game or u have only played less than 2 hrs of mutiplayer. And u dont need premium to unlock weapons. Premium just gives things that cant really improve ur gunplay. Its all just fancy camos and xp boosts.
Crashes are there and will be there for a while. Was the same with BF3 when that came out. But DICE patches stuff very often fixing issues as they find them. Give it a few months and it will all turn out fine.
I am still enjoying the game though. I rarely crash. And I have unlocked everything I want : )

        • I've checked the Premium pack and realised it shouldn't affect on gunplay much, so my bad as I wrote out of raging.

I re-checked the unlocking system carefully and DICE has put in more restrictions for everyone to unlock even the most basic weapons.

Also as a BF noob, I loved spamming med kits to help out but damn this new version gives you some useless M&M's packets to throw around while the real thing that works is more than 100,000 points away.

The current appcrash that happens 100% for me is when you spam the DEPLOY button or spamming spacebar to re-spawn out of frustration, had to learn to calm down and say "OOOOOOHSAAAAA" and only clicking once.

    • Silly Q but how can we in Oz buy it?

      It is an Origin thing?

This is literally 'disk in a box', shipped to you. Activate on Origin yup.

    • That's next Friday right?
