[GUIDE] How to Purchase Battlefield 4 + Premium for Cheap

Following from private messages and general comments, I have attempted to flesh out the instructions in greater detail, but please let me know if I'm needed to elaborate or include additional images for your convenience and understanding.

I've decided to polish my original guide for this method and give the instructions its own post because not everyone will see where I initially described the process. This method has been vouched for by a number of members in this community, and is safe to use.

Please note: This guide will effectively show you how to purchase any game via the Origin client for a significant discount, I am simply using Battlefield 4 + Premium as an example.

By using this method, you'll effectively be paying $50 / $40 respectively in AUD for the two games, and you'll also be going through the actual Origin store.

This method requires us to pretend that we're from Mexico, and we're going to do this via a process called proxy.

  1. Download this. This is a standalone client which will allow us to pretend that we're from Mexico. It's the first box you see which says FlyVPN Client

  2. Input the free username and password as supplied by the website, it's on the right-hand side of your screen as indicated by this image this combination will reset over time, so please check thoroughly.

  3. Once you're logged on, find the server for Mexico, highlight it and press the giant blue button that says connect. You're now from Mexico. This step may take a while depending on the capacity of the server. I can guarantee you that if you're patient enough (if you keep pressing "Connect"), you will be able to connect.

  4. Type in origin.com - You should now be directed to the Mexican website, so everything will be in Spanish. Use Chrome to translate everything, or your preferred browser to translate it to English.

  5. Search for Battlefield 4, or premium, or both. Add them to your cart.

  6. Keep pressing the buttons until you get to the absolute end where you have to type in your Origin ID + Password. So basically, put it in your cart and then press the button to process it.

  7. Turn FlyVPN off. This is absolutely essential. Turn this off before you type in your Origin ID + PW.

  8. You're now back in Australia, type in your Origin ID + PW.

  9. Fill in all the prompts correctly. If it asks for your address, put in your correct address. Don't put in a fake address, no fake anything. If you put in anything that's wrong, or says that you're in Mexico, there's a chance it will just place an authorization hold of $1 on your bank account which won't clear and will be refunded after a period of time.

  10. Fill in your credit card details correctly.

  11. Press purchase. You should instantaneously have the game in-client, and also a confirmation e-mail to your account. Your Origin client should had a similar record like this one.

  • What happens when you get a game that doesn't have English included?

    • It just so happens that Mexicans do play BF 4 in English.

  • Has anyone had there origin account banned by using this method?

    • I've done this for BF3 and now BF4, it's been well over a year now. I can vouch for its safety. Beyond that the web is your best resource for allaying your fears. Obviously don't just take one person's word for it.

  • Looks like Mexico is no longer an option for Free users

    • It's still there. Go ahead and use the following username/password for it, active as of 29/11/13 9:44PM AEST:

      vpnu//xung

  • All good. Just used a proxy and not a VPN, but I still managed to get BF4 + Premium for about $67 AUD. Much cheaper than what we would pay locally.

  • Thanks much appreciated.

  • Followed the guide, appears to have worked correctly.

Not sure if I did something wrong or if this was how it's meant to be, but once I turned off the proxy, the site remained in Mexican, and I was charged in Mexican currency, though I entered Australian details and it would be through my Australian IP.

    • I just did it as well and experienced the same thing. But the purchase worked, and the content is downloading.

  • Noticed that the first proxy is the only one which has Mexico end point.

It worked after about 50 tries over an hour or so (ok I'm desperate). I was actually surfing for other free Mexican VPN's but they were rare, was about to trial one and go through signup when I gave the FlyVPN one more hit and it connected!

previously was getting messages (From Flyvpn) that said my connection was over limit or my password was bad during failed attempts to connect. But finally it worked!

Found BF 2142 was almost $1 cheaper too, BF4 Premium was just AUD $35 :D sweet!

    Thx OP!

  • Worked straight away, as mentioned before the first free account is the only one with mexican acess. Thanks OP, got premium for only $35 bucks!

  • This is still working! Thanks OP!! $75 for BF4 + Premium = happy camper!

  • Just grabbed Premium. Thanks!

  • I struggled to connect to the Mexican VPN. In the end gave up and used SoftEther VPN to connect to a Russian VPN. Got Premium for $45. Nowhere near as good as $35, but better than $59 that Origin Australia is asking for.

    Thanks for the idea OP.

  • Can you purchase BF4 premium on origin for PS3 using this method?

    • No

    • All hail the PC master race!

  • Just a heads up, i was told that Origin and steam are keeping an eye out on people who try this stuff,
My brother tried to do something similar to this, and got caught (it was only a $10 game) his email ect were banned and he lost access to over $800 worth of games because he tried to save a few dollars. this was only the other week.

Im just giving you guys a heads up and all because i dont want it to happen to anyone else
just shop around a bit you will be able to find cheaper copies, like Battlefield 4 for $38 and $20 for Premium and i got it legit without cheating the servers ect.

    • Thanks for the heads up, do you mind sharing any links for BF4 premium for $20? I have looked around and havent found much cheaper

    • All do they is lock you out from buying games from the Origin store. You can still play the games in your library.

  • Worked perfectly, thanks. $21.06AUD for the standard version today.

  • How did you get premium for 21$ today? Was this using the guide highlighted at the top or using that loco gaming website?

  • Can i purchase premium for PS4 through the origin store???

  • Mexican server is full, Can in use peru or Brazil ?

    • Just keep trying the Mexican. There was two free login usernames/passwords and I just alternated until one of them let me on.

I'm not sure if other countries work.

  • im trying this method but its showing $499 when im trying to pay
I dont want to pay 499 dolla lol
    is that normal or?

    • If you're doing it correctly the price will be in the Mexican currency, pesos, which is worth about 1/10 of our dollar. Basic version was listed as $249 (pesos) and was $21AUD.

  • Thanks OP for the easy to use guide. Just bought BF4 + Premium for ~$78 with PayPal. Compared to $140 locally. Bargain.

  • +1

does anyone know if this will work to buy the DLCs? I did the mistake to buy a basic BF4 as I didn't know if I would like it and its awesome but now only a few servers play the basic maps.. if I can find it cheap I will buy the DLC, ideas?

    • +1

Is that why I can pretty much only find clan or empty servers with the basic version?

      • +2

that's right… I just bought last week and its annoying as hell…
