** Now the real question: How much does it cost to Unlock this phone?

    • +1

don't know if this would work.

      extensive thread from whirlpool

      • Thanks that thread is awesome , I found it but thought it was too technical, I have message Bagman to see if he can give us an unlock code.

        • Please let us know the outcome

        • He's not so sure about unlocking this one…
Maybe for 18$…but its a punt..

    • Spec is wrong. It's a 4.3 960*540 screen.

  • Is this available in store?

    • Not available in store, I believe it's an online clearance only

  • another question from an ignorant - will a 4G phone work on telstras 3G network - eg ALDI ?

    • Yes however it'll only revert to 3g

    • yes, 4G phone will work on 3G network. No problems.

      • as long as it supports the 3G frequency…

my wife has the razor V hasn't been too bad. cracked her screen (and digitizer) but replaced it with one bought online… (now there is dust between the screen and the LCD :( )
only problem was it was hard to find parts for it as its not overly common (eg screen protector, case, new screen etc.)

ohh and space… wasn't too much space.

  • Damn looks the goods, not sure if I should grab this or wait for the Moto G or go a chinadroid?

My Defy+ is still kicking from the $99 sale but not in daily use.

  • Spec is wrong. It's a 4.3 960*540 screen.

Thats still 256 ppi! I would choose AMOLED over a higher-res LCD.

    Looks like great value.

Don't think someone who were expecting a 720p display will be happy to receive a 540p display.

Telstra need to fix their description.

    • see my post below - i think they put in the RAZR HD specs

  • Not sure about Motorola, Some real issues with my wifes razor V. GPS wont locate. Phone calls were dropping every 1:30 minutes…

This deal sounds like a good spec for the bucks though.

  • Motorola still exists???

    • +1

      yes google bought them…

  • I got this phone, in the 1 year I've had it its been great, really can't fault it.
Good battery life, quick, great build quality (dropped it a few times without issue), small (+ for me, dont want a massive phone), no real bloat in the stock rom. Its getting a bit old now but for that price its great.

  • Does anyone know how much telstra charge to unlock this phone?

  • Anyone know the unlock fee for the phone if there is a lock?

  • This blue tick @ all? As I thought it was, but it is not marked on the link as this.

  • +2

my $99 rooted defy+ from previous deal is getting a bit sluggish. thinking of upgrading!

  • +1

Probably reduced because of the upcoming Moto G (US$179, quad-core, 4.5" 720P) release. The Moto G is co-created with Google.

  • Is this 4.3" or 4.7"? There is different specs on Telstra website.

  • Wish this was available instore. :(
Suppose there's no hope of getting any other Telstra retailers to match this?
