great watches got mine (olive nato) for about $25 early this year using amazon coupon. they sent by DHL, on my door within 3 days.

Saw the e-mail from Amazon in my inbox earlier tonight, and got myself the T2N657 (all-black strap) for AUD $35.12, delivered to postcode 3000. Too good to resist at this price; and I already have one of those retro Casio watches, you know the ones.

Did a quick Google to compare prices and it's going for $99 on Iconic (free shipping, http://www.theiconic.com.au/Weekender-96646.html) and $54.95 from dStore ($40 + $14.95p/h http://dstore.com/buy/timex-mens-t2n647-weekender-black-nylo…). Great deal.

Great watch for the price but they do tend to tick rather loudly. I upgraded my weekender to an expedition which are much quieter.

  • water resistant about 30 metres deep? Feel a bit unsafe while washing hands.

      You must have long arms.

      • +1

Most 30 metres WR watches are not trustable even incidentally water splashes. Yes, I do have long arms XD

Claimed 30m actual 30mm water resistance?

        • Submerge them both 30mm deep, in clean water/salty water/soup water 1 hour each, and see what happens. So-called 30m WR is a joke.

I tried to swim and surf in the sea for hours, wearing a 100mm WR Casio with no trouble at all, that is WR.

Yeah I keep the crown pulled out when I'm not using it…

The Timex ads of old used to say "It takes a licking but it keeps on ticking". Here's an old ad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NHq3Yze6s0 - he says the catch phrase at around 1.10.

The ad was also taken off in an episode of Get Smart where the Siegfried used a giant magnet to rig a watch off a sailor on a destroyer out in the ocean. The watch ends up on the magnet and Shtarker brings it inside and holds it up to the camera and says "It took a licking but it kept on ticking".

  • My order has been shipped.

    • When did you order?

      • 15 hours 19 min ago

        • Damn. Why hasn't mine shipped!

        • I got the T2N751 and T2N647.

  • On the off chance on anyone seeing this…..has anyone received their order yet?
My order seems to have been stuck with US Customs since late November (due to delay).
I complained to Amazon that the parcel has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe. They responded (very quickly) and have processed a refund for the delivery costs.

    • Got mine the day before yesterday.

Contact iparcel for an Auspost tracking number.

      • Yup, I've done that and the wheels are in motion for a follow-up. Cheers.
