Black Friday is coming up this week (main discussions here, and we have a Melbourne Meetup that night). ShopBot Australia, a price comparison engine that has been around since 2004, is organising their own Black Friday shopping event:

Aussies no longer have to wait for Boxing Day sales as Shopbot - Australia's leading online price comparison site - will offer exclusive discount prices for items by major retailers from 12AM, 29th November 2013. Participating retailers include Bloomingdales, Macy’s, oo.com.au, Crazysales.com.au, Dirt Cheap Cameras, Duty Free Central, with more big name brands to be announced in the lead up to Black Friday.
Yes it kicks started at mid-night, and so far from their event page there are only around 52 merchants participating — many are actually smaller merchants that didn't participate in that other shopping event earlier last week. ClickFrenzy last week did bring out quite a few good offers (despite generally negative response from discussions). It might be hard for ShopBot to top that as many top merchants from ClickFrenzy are not participating in ShopBot's Black Friday event (ASOS, Final Days, Masters, Hush Puppies, etc), but we'll see, as there are still 3 more days to go.
So yeah or meh?
Edit: According to ShopBot they do have ASOS on board.
