I was looking for a good cap for running and came across this one. Looks like it usually goes for $15-$30 but rebel has it for $5 which seems like a great deal.

        they use a courier service probably and need a signature - PO box means no signature available on delivery.

  • Thanks OP - grabbed a couple of caps - site was a bit problematic but got there in the end. Grabbed black adidas for running and the bluey-purply puma one. White caps don't suit me - otherwise would have grabbed a Nike too.

  • I know it says OSFA, but does anyone have any idea if this might bunch up a bit on my tiny lady head?

    • I'm sure it has an adjustment - at $5 it's not a great loss if there's some "lady-head-bunch" happening.

      • I remember not being able to wear my boyfriends' ones as they bunched up around the back when they were done up tight enough to stay on my head.

        Ended up buying a Nike one after the Adidas ones sold out. Gotta protect your skin folks!

  • I have this one, it's adjustable but is also very very delicate.

    The front cap bit can tear away from the fabric like paper.

  • I think it's being ozbargained. Had a number of errors during checkout. Before it go to Paypal it says "problem saving your order" 3 times. Just kept trying and it got through.

    I adjusted the title and URL somewhat to reflect the availability of the other caps, now that the Adidas is Out-of-Stock. I think that's better than expiring the whole deal, because people might miss out on the other caps.

  • Good luck actually getting these, anyone remember the rebel sports shirt saga. They had it listed on their website which had 1000+ orders from Ozbargain and then in reality they have a >10 her and there scattered around stores. Unless they have improved their perpetual inventory system to respond to online sales in real time theirs low chance in actually receiving anything. The website seems more smooth however and revamped so it's worth a shot.

      As I work in-store, I can tell you the inventory system has been changed to a live-updating one (the old one used to update at the end of the day), a program called SAP - to me it looks like a virtual.. access database-like thing.
      However, it still doesn't reflect on missing stock (every store does stocktake/inventory correction events twice a year, all at separate times).

      Anyway - good luck :)

      • About time! For those who don't know, SAP is software that runs all business operations of 80% biggest companies in the world.
        It's actually the 3rd largest software company after Microsoft and Oracle.

        • Our SAP interface is fairly laggy, since we have those imbedded XP boxes that will lag on two tabs of web browsing, also looks like no one wishes to splosh some dough to upgrade our comps. Can't even look up the rebelsport website without it freezing for a bit.

          Some of the rebel stores are actually still on the old AS400 (about 3 weeks ago, chatswood was still using the AS400), but everything is moving to SAP

          Next time - you should try scan it up at the check-out, shelf-tags are only updated when HQ sends out catalogue-specific markdowns / manager marks down EoL stock, an online special would most likely not qualify as a catalogue-specific markdown. The prices are supposed to scan out the same as online prices, couldn't hurt trying.
          Only thing you are doing if this goes through, is depriving someone from their cap once the online sales team starts calling all the stores to send the stock to them for fulfilling orders.

  • Just received an email "order declined - unable to fill". This after spending an hour on back and forth emails with their online customer "service" team who kept referring me to their terms and conditions when I dared request a date until dispatch. Bummer.

    No notification from when ordered on 26/11. Just rang them and she said sorry, out of stock. and should be receiving a refund in the next week or 2. Poor, poor ,poor.

    Sounded like if I didn't chase it up nothing would have happened. By the time my refund comes thru they will have had my money for nearly a month. Very bad service. Would never buy from them again online or in store.

    • Sounds like you were just unlucky, but agree service levels should be consistent across orders.

      On the flipside, mine were packaged and ready for dispatch within an hour of ordering - was one of the fastest shipping processes I've ever experienced.

      I nearly forgot about the whole thing. I just emailed them to ask what's going on.
      If I don't receive it I will be quite annoyed. It is not acceptable for them to take so long to realise they haven't got any stock to begin with.

    • Yep, I've just chased it up again. Initially they said just to wait the 10 days for processing (how it takes that long I don't know). Now it's bee over that and no update at all.
      Really slack service, no wonder less and less people buy from local retailers with service like this.

  • I received one of two caps so far, the Mrs is happy. Not liking my chances of the second one coming but I guess one for $10 is ok.

      No it's not. It is unacceptable that they get so many customers to waste their time, and only inform them that they cannot fullfil the order until the customers chases them up 25 days later. I put in an order for $20, and did not hear from them until I chased them up yesterday. I will update the post, because chances are many customers did not receive anything and have not been notified. I wonder if they would refund people who do not chase them up.

      • I agree. I ordered some party stuff a couple of months ago from a different company and within 1 hour I received a call saying no stock left. They refunded my money thru paypal within minutes. That's good service. I doubt if I would have been contacted by Rebel if I had not chased it up.

      • Since one cap was delivered on Monday, I was giving them a few days to see if the other one would be delivered. I will follow up, I'll try my luck via email first…

      • Just received an email from them cancelling my order. I was told several times after enquiring that the order would be despatched shortly. Not happy being lied to. Will definitely be checking the refund.

        • Finally got the email. "We have received your order and regret to advise we are unable to fulfil your order due to the overwhelming demand on this item. The item (s) selected are currently out of stock, therefore your purchase has been cancelled and will be refunded in full."

      • So I chased them up about the second cap and got the generic email about no stock, cancelling the order and refunding the money.

        Will keep an eye out for the $, if nothing in the next day or so I'll follow up with PayPal.

        I wonder if I tempted fate by contacting them.

  • Mmmm, yup, another one here, i had to chase them up by phone to be told that "bad luck , we had too many orders, not enough hats"
    2.5 weeks later and they tell me the refund might be "in the next week or two"

    Card chargeback time!

    • Hmmm, they told me the refund would be within 1 - 3 business days, but somehow I doubt that very much. A week or two is probably more like it going by their customer service.

    "Order Declined" almost 3 weeks after ordering. A bad first experience ordering from Rebel's website. This will definitely make me think twice before dealing with them again.

    Offer declined too - very unprofessional that they send the notification 3 weeks after the order was placed. I think its worth calling them and letting them know the feedback.

  • Received my cancellation email yesterday. This is after receiving an email two weeks ago saying my order would be shipped shortly. Rubbish customer service, Rebel.
