Harry Potter: The Complete Collection (8 Films) - Blu-Ray + UltraViolet - $56.05 (Free Shipping)

20

It looks like an UltraViolet version of the Harry Potter box set has just been released!

  • AU / NZ stock, Free Shipping from NZ
  • All 8 films on 8 Blu-ray discs (Region B)
  • Access to all of the movies on UltraViolet

This is different to the UK box set which is often posted on here. The UK box set has 11 Blu-ray discs (3 special feature discs), without access to the movies on UltraViolet.

I would personally rather the movies on UltraViolet, over 3 special feature discs. Have just ordered this.

I have found UV personally to be lacking. 3 special feature discs sounds a lot more worthwhile.

    • I would agree. Received a UV box the other day and then researched it all and attempted to set it up. Unless I am missing something critical, sharing between media players once obtaining a copy over the internet is just not going to happen.

For example: I installed Flixster on the PC, got the UV copy on their and felt happy. Then I wanted to see how I would send it to my S3 and realised that probably was not going to happen. Then checked the Play store for FLixster and then the movie wasn't even downloadable.

UV = frustrating for sharing (possibly it's entire purpose for piracy reasons). It is good for fast internet users who have the setup and no disc drive though.

      • Possibly because the Flixter app only supports US UV. I'm able to access my US purchased UV content through it, but not my Australian stuff (which admittedly is only F&F6).

        • I access all of my UltraViolet content through Flixster without any issues.

    • My biggest problem with UV is just the lack of ability to watch the movies on your TV. Don't care about special features to be honest. Never watch them.

      • We will probably start to see Blu-ray players that support UltraViolet, as well as additional UltraViolet smart TV apps in the future. You need to connect a laptop to your TV at the moment.
