Moshi BassBurger Portable Speaker $9 at EB Games

330

Moshi BassBurger Portable Speakers have gone clearance for Christmas at $9 each at EB Games. The next cheapest I've seen them for are around $22 each.

They are 3.5mm wired portable speakers (for MP3 players, phones and such) that have an 8 hour battery duration, and recharge in under 3 hours via USB. They're pretty loud too for their size.

They come in black, silver, red or blue.

Sold out online already…. typical OzBargain. Still PLENTY available in-store. Check the website to see which stores near you have it in stock.

Good Point, Luckily we have a fellow master saving accountant in the oz bargain community.

Walking at a pace of 6km/h for 20KM will burn approx 800 calories.

Now comparing shipping cost of $2.50 to 800 calories. One could safely eat 1 and a half pieces of KFC chicken,
        OR;
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/88599 Chuppa chups around 150calories each which had a deal of 5 for $1. Making it safely 1200 Calories per $1

In light of this, resulting in 1200 calories per $1 and we need 800 calories which will be about a total of 80cents. We can now conclude eating chuppa chops is the more ideal for money saving if you live 10KM within a radius of the closest EB games. Saving of ($2.00)

My sarcasm metre is reading over 2000!

        • +3

If I'm not mistaken Aerona It makes it 750 calories per $1 of chupa chups. So you will need the 5 lollipops for a dollar and lick 1.7mm off a sixth chupa chup to achieve that 800 calories for a little over that dollar.

However as an ozbargainer you would buy 10 chupa chups for $2.00 even though you only needed a sixth one, but nonetheless, unconcerned, as you will be able wrap that 6th one back in its wrapper to eat with the other 4 on the way home from EB games - which you never went to.

So the saving comes closer to 50 cents even if you cut out the walk (that never happened) down from a 20Km radius to 10.

And the one and a half pieces of chicken…..

        • Aerona…thats just gold. B )

Excuse my naïve question, but am I right in supposing this one speaker means we would hear mono instead of stereo?

God, that thing is awfully ugly. It looks like a cockroach trap.

    • Appropriate since the only use I can think of for these is to rudely share my awful taste in music with everyone on the train carriage.

  • Looking for a BT vibration speaker……..

EB at Galleries in Sydney CBD out of stock. I bought 3 from World Square, now there is only 2 red left there. These make great KK gifts and stocking stuffers!

If I receive even ONE MORE of these tinny things and I work out who you are in real life I WILL throw it at you.

        • What I'm really saying is that they are crap because anyone who wants a speaker probably has a better one already. Although I really would laugh to see a 7.1 system out of these (the .1 must be the double bass burger).

Please throw it my way with the box - thanks!

  • the product description (even on Moshi website) says it can be recharged up to 500 times. is this correct? Means only 2 years life span if you charge it once every 2/3 days

JB-HIFI Honoured $10 in Melb city Store.

  • Not sure how these go but if you miss out an option is the Nokia MD-9 speaker, about the same size, I picked one up last week for 10 bucks and I was amazed by how goo it sounds, hands down better than my HTC One's stereo setup. Only retraction is you need you own AAA rechargeable batteries, but apparently they last ages.

  • I bought myself one from Woolworths for $10, there were plenty of them, yes I like them, light weight and pretty loud, good for facetime/Skype on iphone/mobile. and have just checked, they are now just $6!

The speakers are very good for their size. When I held them it was like wait, that's it? Was shaking the box frantically to see if anything else fell out. Battery life is good (really depends what volume you listen to it at). Would buy another one if I found them for 10 ish bucks.
