So when are we going to have that deal again?

      • +1

My iPhone 4 has a broken screen and needs replacing, I'll keep scratching my fingers on it until a similar deal comes along. Even if takes months and months. $450 or bust.

Primary issue still remains the price.

Delivery is $22.99 + insurance of $7.99, so total cost is $809.98

I'm sure its been asked before, but will Apple honour the warranty?

    • +2

      no

      • -3

        no

        Yes.

        Unless you meant Apple Australia.

    • will Apple honour the warranty?

      Of course they will.

Apple in Hong Kong SAR, Apple in China, and Apple in Macau, will honour the one year warranty. They will also support you with out-of-warranty replacements. All you have to do is take your phone to them.

How very strange that my factual reply to a question in the comments was negged so many times.

    The question was:-

    will Apple honour the warranty?

    My reply:-

    "Of course they will."
"Apple in Hong Kong SAR, Apple in China, and Apple in Macau, will honour the one year warranty. They will also support you with out-of-warranty replacements. All you have to do is take your phone to them."

Was given after I went to the trouble of calling Apple Australia in order to obtain the above information. In fact I had to be transferred to a support person at Apple in Singapore to get the official Apple policy on warranty, and out-of-warranty, support for iPhones first purchased in that market area.

  • Some have claimed that if it's exact same model sold in our region apple Australia will cover you. These iPhone5s are the same A1530 sold here. I've read over on wp some people claim to get their grey imports fixed via apple Australia. I would like to know for certain if it's the same model sold in our region would apple Australia cover you?

I can only go by the official Apple response, and my own experiences in Apple Stores.

I note that Hong Kong / China / Macau 5C and 5S handsets seem to have the same model identifiers as Australian Market 5C and 5S handsets. However, the first thing Apple Store staff do is to check the phone's IMEI and/or serial numbers. This reveals the first place of sale of the phone.

Also "fixed" is not the same as 'replaced'.
