Pocket DAB+ Digital Radio for $25 (conditions) [VIC CAULFIED]

Okay, so heres something I came across that could be useful, but would get me negged to oblivion if I posted it as a deal.

Its a Lenoxx brand pocket digital radio. Except it has no battery, making it essentially just a small radio.
Its also a refurb, and the shipping cost is a unsightly $20

After looking at this post here, one of things it was missing was a DAB radio. Other car stereos are similar. If you bought one of these, you could have it setup to draw power from the car, and run sound through the axillary audio port.

BigW sell this is for $88 http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/audio/portable-speakers-r…

Same company also sells refurb portable DVD players for $25, but again shipping cost is too high

The bush unit on the same site looks better for a little more money

  • DAB radios consume a lot more power than a normal radio (because of the amount of processing required) so the battery life will be a challenge.
Also a decent extension of the antenna is needed most of the time, so "pocket" operation is not likely to be possible very often.

  • +1
  • I bought a Philips one on clearance from Officeworks a few months back for $25: http://tiny.cc/awhn7w
They're $10 now - if you can find stock.

I actually find that the quality of digital is worse than FM and it's hard (re: not possible) to change the radio station during a drive :(
