First Date Dinner Date - He's paying. Should I whip out the Entertainment Card?

I finally managed to get a date with a guy who is "Normal" about money. Likes to have a good time. Doesn't pinch pennies, etc.

In a few hours, we're going to a place in the Entertainment Book that would give about $50 discount. The entrees are $30+ and the mains go from $40 up and up. Then there's the wine and the extras. He's taking a cab that cost him at least $50 each way. I'm meeting him there.

I don't think I'm likely to whip out my card to save him money. Not because I want to save it for future personal use, I just don't know how he'd take it. This is a first date. He will be paying. He's made that clear.

I just absolutely hate being in a position to help someone I like and not doing it. It is PAINFUL. In this instance though I think it would be a strategic mistake, in so far as how he perceives me, so I don't intend to do it. It could possibly embarrass hi, There are actually people who get embarrassed by that sort of thing and I think he could be one of them.

Would anyone here offer their Entertainment card under these circumstances?

    Dinner dates, Mother sday fathers day, Birthday… All ways at a b1g1 free place.. If more than 2 always 25% and run a tab.. Dont forget to get them drinks cheaper…

    I almost didn't read the thread after Scrooge's comments. Thanks all for your support.

    My man is out of the country and was planning on spending christmas in one of two other countries, but he says now he will come back. I've told him I just want to "stay in" the whole week.

    He is so modest. Of course I had googled the hell out of him previously, but when we were walking past his office as he showed me the house, I spied one of the awards I knew had won and since my ex had won one as well, I knew what it looked like. I said "oh, what's that? And he really played it down. Then I saw a photo of him with one of the most famous people on earth and said oh that's nice" and he did get a bit excited then because he had a real affection for this famous person and although you wouldn't say friends because some people just can not have friends, my man has spent many days over about ten years due to a common interest, but he just plays it all down. It seems none of that is important to him. But I'm important to him, apparently. I hope it lasts. He is really just so special.

    And the romping is like nothing I've ever had.

      I think him paying for plastic surgery is at least several weeks off. Lol

      Besides I am clever enough NOT to mention any perceived flaws.
