Was tossing up between this or Kobo Glo. Settled for this.
The Glo would have been cheaper ($138.70 for me) and supports epub as well as microSD, but eh. I heard the text is clearer on the Paperwhite. I hope this is the next gen one and not the old gen model. And I needed to spend $250 at DJ.
If it's a old gen just return it - description says Next Gen.

Originally I missed my delivery from star tracks.
They left a card at about 10:30. I called them back and they came back & I signed for it.The weird thing is on the "we missed you" card it said the sender was ABC Ultimo. Started scratching my head..
Thought they were gonna send me the "Jemima Doll" from play school.hmmm - tracking number isn't working yet. Although the DJs email did say it could take up to 24 hours before it would show up in the system.
Which website should I use to track as I bought it as a guest?

Just getting antsy cos I'm moving back to Sydney permanently on Friday night and Melbourne's the designated address :(Yeah me too, cause I'm going on holiday and really wanted it to take with me by Friday afternoon. It should have been delivered yerterday.
Being a bit of a snooper, I put in a tracking ID with a lower number to mine DSxxxxxx & it shows items dispatched yesterday. I'm assuming they are all from Dick Smith, given that they start with DS. They all seem to come from Upper Mount Gravatt, are flown from their distribution centre & are with the driver by the next morning (processed overnight upon arrival). So fingers crossed we get our stuff by tomorrow!
Orders are generally picked up by 4pm (Doesn't say what time zone), so our tracking numbers should probably be working by then.

I received mine this morning too.
Disappointed with DJ's packaging. They didn't put it inside another box with bubble wrap, all they did was wrap it in plastic bag. The box was banged up pretty good. I hope the device itself is ok. Haven't tested it. The thing is bigger than I imagined it.

Mad with the courier company. They just left it at the post office after they missed me without a chance to reschedule and it wasn't even the nearest post office.
Just received mine a few minutes ago although item was despatched on Dec 12.
Mine dropped off my DJs account on Tuesday and I haven't heard anything from them. Given them a call and now raised a PayPal dispute to get my money back.
My Kindle came with screen imperfections. Like tiny specs of hair caught between the surface and the screen. Casts a miniature shadow.. Read online that defects are common. Light is evenly spread though. Just the speck of dirt/hair I can't rub off :(
Mine arrived today. Dispatched yesterday. Packaging seemed pretty flawless. Am yet to open the unit as it is a christmas gift.
