  • Not saying not a good deal, just a weird build for a gaming pc. Why an i7? No hard drive so can't actually install many games. And then a 270 rather than a 280 of some description.

  • +1

To confirm, this doesn't include an operating system.

What would one cost if we wanted to bundle it with the above rig?

    • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 $345
      MB : Gigabyte H81M-S2PH $68
      RAM: 8GB Kingston 1600MHZ $99
      SSD: 128GB Sandisk $105
      VGA: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 OC $230
      ODD: Samsung DVD Writer $24
      CASE: Coolermaster K350 Gamer USB3.0 $59
      PSU: Aerocool VP650 650W True Power $79
WTY: 1 Year Return to Base Parts and Labour Warranty

= $1009. Warranty is worthless because it's guaranteed under law, although assembly is included which is good for those who don't have the time or are less tech savvy.

RAM changed to Kingston because that's what your CPL page says and I'm assuming that one's correct! MSY also has some parts cheaper but ehh, might as well buy all the parts from the same store.

Overall it's a good deal although that CPU is way overkill for that GPU. I'd rather get one $75 cheaper if I were buying this (although my cousin is interested) like the 4670k for $269 which can also be overclocked. You'd be able to safely overclock it higher than what the base 4770 offers too.

Would we be allowed to do swap out parts in the order?

Using PCCG prices. Sorry for the awful formatting :D

      • I was hoping to do a bit of customizing too but the rep has only responded to one comment and that comment had nothing to do with this deal.

But you're spot on with the I7. If I could downgrade the cpu to i5 4670k and upgrade the gpu to r9 280x, I'd be all over that :) Well at the right price. Its currently $912. Minus the $75 for the cpu and add $150 for the GPU. So about $1k would seem reasonable.

  • Damn, another Vic deal.

  • I'm going to vouch for cpl, not necessarily the deal, but despite their weird payment systems (I used bank transfer), the order gets processed quite quickly, and assembly +shipping to Sydney took less than 4 working days.

  • Any chance of upgrading this to a 280x? If I could swap the 270 with the 280x you could pretty much take my money now. :)

  • Hey rep I ordered a case 2 fans and a CPU cooler on Monday and you guys still haven't shipped it whats going on ?
