Would you recommend Wireless1?

Hello,

i am about to get myself a laptop and the best deal i have found is on wireless1. Has anyone made any experience with them? I have never purchased anything from there before and am just trying to collect some information about before ordering a refurbished laptop.
TIA

  • If you're looking for refurb ASUS, Online Computer (http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/index.php?sortcol=1&sortdirā€¦), seems to have a wider range at somewhat better prices than Wireless1. (I haven't bought from either).

I purchased a refurb ASUS F55A a couple of months back from oo.com (which I understand is a division of Grays Online, who also sell ASUS refurbs). Condition was very close to brand-new, which I understand to be usually the case from various online comments I've seen. Apparently ASUS does the refurb work in-house, so the computers come with a fresh 12 month manufacturer's warranty, but have been given new serial numbers that clearly mark them as refurbished units.

Incidentally, Grays have some refurb Toshibas at the moment that appear to be pretty good value (for fixed price sale, not auction): http://www.graysonline.com/computers-and-electronics/computeā€¦ . I don't have any personal experience to offer of either Toshiba refurbs or dealing with Grays.

    • Thanks but unfortunately they don't have the one i want :(

Grays is an option although i have always avoided them for some reason.

  • I have bought laptops from both. Good experiences with both.

    • Thanks, this helps me.

  • On my refurb from Wireless1 right now, found them extremely easy to deal with and no problems the the laptop at all. Although I don;t know if its urgent but you could wait till they have one of their promotions that provide free shipping unless you live closeby.

    • It is not urgent but as much as i have seen shipping is under $20.- which is reasonable. I do know this is not the OB spirit :)

  • I'm also interested in Asus refurb and I found http://www.asusnotebooks.com.au/.

Does anyone have experience with them? They are cheaper than Wireless1 by about $100.
