I don't see the point in buying this myself. I picked up the PC version (which this is ported from I heard) for less than $10.

Port really isn't the best word since it's going to be noticeably better than the PC version.

Whether that makes it worth buying again for those who already own it, not likely. But the new stuff added should look great.

All I could see was a new face (which doesn't look as pretty). The rest of the graphics looked inferior to what I was playing on almost a year ago.
I have to agree. As far as I've seen all they have changed is the hair texture. I'd be surprised if there is anything of substance added. I'm not hating on PS4 here guys, I have one and love it. I'm hating on the lazy devs just rereleasing games over and over. I love to see a proper HD remake like Persona 4 Golden but this crap pisses me off.
The TressFX was in the PC version as well…
But seriously, I can't get over the new face. It just looks wrong, having played through it already with the original face (which I felt there was nothing wrong with.. it even looked more detailed than the new one). It's like recasting a character in a sequel because the original actor didn't want to do it.
I don't think the game needed a "definitive edition". They haven't added new content that I'm aware of. It's no more than a port. If they want to port it to next gen consoles, that's fine, but don't call it more than it is.
I would be ok with it if there was more single player DLC, and they included that in the DE, like a GOTY edition. But there's no SP DLC besides one tomb which takes all of 5 minutes to complete. And it's bugged too.
I have to wonder also if they changed her face in the CG videos.
Ive been playing this at the moment on the PC, Great game :) I might actually finish/ want to finish this game.
Yeah it was definitely a fun game. I just wish there weren't so many pointless collectibles like those GPS caches which take a lot of effort to complete a set for only a tiny bit of XP as a reward.
Also, there is a disconnect between gameplay and story. She's presented as a vulnerable character, not an experienced killer. But as soon as I got my first weapon, I was headshotting everybody like I was Grim Reaper incarnate. They were more scared of me than I was of them.. until the cutscenes anyway.
I do think Definitive Edition is a misnomer. There's no new content. It's a port, pure and simple. And before you say the graphics are better than the PC version (even if we grant that it's true), that's nothing new for ports. Often times a port onto superior hardware IS a graphical upgrade over the original version.
I have serious doubts that they will be better than the PC version. My PC has much better specs than a PS4 or Xbone.
Seems like Square-Enix is gonna do this with a lot of their games…first Deus Ex, now Tomb Raider.
I'm only getting this because I don't like PC gaming, but unless your a fan or a graphics snob , it's not really worth it

Should give them the ability to upgrade their last gen to current gen for $10 like with other titles (AC4, BF4, etc.).
That's not gonna happen. Too long between releases, too much extra effort put in.
Also this has all the DLC packed in, and adds to that Xbox achievement score ;)
The DLC is all multiplayer DLC, and the MP in this game is garbage.
There are extra tombs and costumes for single player, though they don't add much to the experience.
Weren't those just preorder bonuses? In any case, the classic costume is the best looking IMO.
There is only one extra tomb. As I said, it took 5 minutes to complete.
They could grab it much cheaper on a previous gen console, it's still good!
