First 100 customers in Myer Melbourne on Boxing Day to get golden ticket to random specials ($50 TVs, $10 suits, $100 sofa)

The first bleary-eyed 100 customers in the Myer CBD queue will be handed "gold tickets" from 4.40am containing random super specials. These include a $50 wide-screen 3D television, down from $1299, a $10 men's suit reduced from $400, and a $100 sofa normally priced at $999.

The first 500 customers will also be treated to a panettone, biscotti and coffee breakfast.

Sounds good in theory but let's hope it doesn't turn out like this. So who's going?

  • Everyone will be after the TV ticket, and there is probably just one. Good way to embarrass yourself on the news, I say.

It says it will be random, so they won't get to choose…

the only difference is, u can probably see with a glance of the eye if ur in the first 100 or not, so no need to stick around for hours.

  • They never do this in Sydney.

More to the point, they would have to stop these people from shopping while they award the voucher so you end up missing your head start.
