Every where I check there is only mention of the Wii U Deluxe version of the console accruing points from purchases, I cannot find anything on the basic bundling also generating points based off each purchase. Even Nintendo's on site only mention the Deluxe/Premium getting points.
"Nintendo Network Premium is a special reward program for Wii U Premium Pack owners. With Nintendo Network Premium, every time you purchase digital content from Nintendo eShop, you'll collect points. Eligible content includes full download software and add-on content from Nintendo and other publishers."
