Hi, sorry, it is US dollar.

Hi, sorry, this is AU website, you can tell by the little .au at the end of the URL. altho it gets hard to tell at times that this isnt just another american controlled island we are in fact our own country with our own currency… :)

  • "Battery 1 x 18650 Battery (not included)" Wait what? Are they like normal AAAs or something?

    • Rechargeable batteries that are used in laptops and devices like this. 18650 refers to its size 18mm diameter + 65 mm long, they provide 3.7v necessary for higher load LED's like these Crees. Capacity at that voltage is about the same as an AA.

      • So not standard batteries, they look pretty expensive too. Any touch of a simular nature (super bright) with normal batteries (as in ones I can find in Coles not order from some random site and wait forever for them to come).

        • Any touch of a simular nature (super bright) with normal batteries

these take a normal AA as well as a smaller version of the lipo battery this deal uses. even on a AA they are amazingly bright tho the run time isnt overly long. an hour or 2 before the batteries are flat. i use rechargeable AA's with mine so this isnt a problem for me

the other issue with lipo batteries (versus normal AA's) is that they can tend to get a little warm if your not careful using and charging them

        • Unfortunately not many high end cree led torches are sold here, you'll find the LED Lensers equipped with Crees but they'll be several times more expensive but with also better build quality.
