[Pricing Error & Expired] Farmers Union Iced Coffee 2L - 4 Cents - Airport West (Vic) - Possibly Elsewhere

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Found this great deal (pricing error) at Coles Airport West today.

Farmers Union Iced Coffee 2L scanned at only 4 cents, special ticket said $4. Could be at other Coles but not sure.

There were still about 10 bottles remaining after I left.

With rounding, 6L cost me 10 cents. I think I will be drinking Iced Coffee this New Years Eve.

If you paid with cash, you could've acquired the 3rd for free!

Someone's going to go back to stocking shelves during the graveyard shift!

  • Use-by dates Jan 05 and Jan 08 (took all 8th)
    Couple were Dec 29th

Hmm… I'd like to try this at my own local Coles.

So shelf price was $4 yet you paid $0.04 each? Clearly a pricing error not a bargain.

I think it is unethical to suggest others also take advantage of what clearly is a human error. Bad enough you did it yourself without bringing it to their attention.

We all make mistakes after all!

I bet they would have jumped up and down and screamed blue murder if the price was $4 and scanned at $40…

Let's need get into ethics here. OB is not a soap box, just a place to find items at great prices.

just a place to find items at great prices.

not for pricing mistakes though… they are not bargains…

    • Fools and their money are soon parted.

That's one of the tenets of capitalism. I see no ethical issue with taking advantage of another's stupidity.

    • If you had brought it to their attention they would have still given it to you for 4c as per their scanning policy.

My wife is trying it a Coles Werribee right now. I'll tell you if she had any success.

    • No 2l left at store. So a no go on my end.

    • Coles Werribee Plaza had them reduced to $2 And they had 3 days shelf life left. I bought 3

  • doesn't work in coles south melb

    • Cheers, unlikely to work for my wife then. Probably airport west only.

When was the last time coless or Woolworth chased you up for an item they over charged you? Or even apologised for it when you returned to the store, costing you petrol. So please spare me the ethical argument.

  • scanned $4 at my local Coles
    NSW Hurstville

  • My guess is it's only at the one Coles (Airport West) and it was an error when they were putting in the price and not putting in enough zeroes. Very lucky if you drink Iced Coffee and visit the Airport West store today (it will probably get noticed soon and be fixed).

  • Tried at about 2 pm and it scanned at $4. Looks like they read OzBargain and fixed it. Reporting this as expired.

Expired Iced Coffee for $4? That's absurd..

      The deal was expired.

      • Ok my bad, I thought the drink was expired. Which didn't really make sense to me since its past its use-by date.
