Think this is replacing the $4.95 Double Cheese Meal. Saw advertising on the 31st but seems to have been introduced at most stores in VIC at least in the last couple of days.. Swanston St and Chapel St VIC definitely have it. Like the deal Bourke St VIC had for most of the last year.
I usually get medium which I think is $8.50 by memory, so a small meal would normally be close to 8 bucks. Can vary between stores. Not sure if the lunch card offer 12-2pm which was ($4.95/$5.95/$6.95?) is still going but this is all day and night and probably after midnight as well if its anything like the cheese meals which I enjoyed in the early hours..

In Brisbane they used to offer medium Bigmac meal for $5 or $6. lunchtime only from noon.
I bought this yesterday, it's small.. the patties would not be thicker than 5mm.. i actually thought it was a different big mac with cheeseburger patties or something.. definitely wasn't how i remember it but it's been about a year since the last bigmac.. going for grand angus these days :)

There are 2 variants of these deals. There is a $2.95 one which has a cheeseburger, small fries and small drink and a $4.95 one which has a medium fries and medium drink
As the OP has mentioned, this has replaced the old "Save a Small Fortune" deal.
However, I've figured out another way of getting a similar deal: buy a Cheesy BBQ Burger/Chicken n Mayo ($2) + small fries ($1) and show your StudentEdge card to get a free medium drink.
And voila! $3 meal.

yes. You should also be able to get (if you get sick of bigmacs everyday) a medium cheeseburger meal for the same price (bigger coke and fries) which is what I had today
No longer available at Swanston St VIC (got medium cheese instead for 4.95).. dunno about other stores. Will see tomorrow :)
