Pretty top notch oil, doesn't come on sale too often. If you've got a service coming up and you're need some 5w-30, this is probably your best bet!

I am an employee at Supercheap however thats not why I'm posting this deal :P

    • Not a bad deal but Yeah $29 was a really good deal….

I still have 4 bottles of that sitting in the garage :)

    • Yep definitely worth stocking up at that price!

  • Not really a bargain at this price, I have stocked up enough oil for the next few years…lol…

    Agree with others, $48 isn't really much of a deal. <$40 then that's more like a deal…

sub-$30 is the sweet spot for this one. Pretty sure I got Free Delivery when purchased on eBay.

      • 29.95 generally happens at least once a year from supercheap. i stocked up on bathurst 1000 weekend.

  • Decent price. Thanks OP. Might swing by this arvo.

  • Got 4x 5L last time…. very good oil…I do 15k intervals with this oil and comes out light brown and silky while other oils come out dark and slightly burned.

    • If your oil is coming out "light brown and silky" then it's probably not doing its job very well…

      • agreed. My oil comes out nearly black at 7500-8500 intervals.

Also got about 4 of them last time :) at $29. Should be good for some time :)

        • Not to be negative in anyway, What color the oil comes out at can be very different depending on the brand and type of engine.

a Diesel engine oil can come out black after 200-300km. while a modern Hybrid which may not use the engine heavily may come out "dark brown" after 15k.

It also depends on how you drive the car too, changing the oil "more often" is good, as the oil quality can degrade after been in the engine for more than 6-12months.

Many European cars recommend service intervals at 20k km, or 12 months, I believe this is too long, and its a marketing tactic to make the buyer feel better value for high servicing costs.

I'm not a professional, but this is what I have learnt over the years as I baby my cars always service half the recommended servicing interval myself. (taking the standard and Major to dealership/professionals)

  • I got 6 on the previous deal nearly 20 bucks cheaper https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/119390. Keep me going for another few services.
