          Technically it's a group 3 oil hydrocracked so technically not fully synthetic. It is synthetic by marketing and legal standards though.

    5w-30 is quite thin. Wouldn't most people use this oil in winter times rather than summer? (thats why its on sale)

      Not really, a lot of modern cars take 5W-30 all year round. Also, its not just about the starting it uses less fuel when you have a thinner oil.

      Careful. Its a thin oil and your seals may leak. My wife's Camry of similar leaks a little with this grade of oil. 10w ones are fine.

        Mark the bottom of the bottle.

        Request for the bottle back at the time you pick up your car. If they said they threw it in the bin, say you want it and you can go to the bin to pick it up. Any other excuses = you know they didn't change out squat and is keeping your oil.

          How easy to transfer the Castrol oil out of your original bottle to their own bottles without you knowing what they pour into your engine is not the Castrol oil your bring but some cheap mineral oil from them unless you sit there and watch them replace the oil.

          Dude… ask for the bottle back when collecting your car.. not telling them before hand.

          They are most likely NOT going to empty out the bottle and store it somewhere else just in case you ask for the bottle back… + more often than not you'll have excess oil from a 5L bottle.

        My parents took delivery of my parcel today. Delivery slip advised that there 3x5l oil containers in each order. Havent checked the CC statement as yet but they seem to have an additional container. Not complaining, even if i have paid for it!!! The oil at $30 is fantastic value.

        If they also have the $20 gift card, even better!!!!

        These were attached to the bottle via sticky tape. may be left over stock from some earlier promotion(gift cards has expiry of Feb-14). All the bottles for pickup at North Parramatta store has gift card on them.
