I did do my research… I clicked the link you provided for the iPhone version which says "Also available FREE for iPhone (previously $5.49)" and my facts remain the same. I don't have an iPad which is why I specified in my comment that I was referring to the iPhone version.
Edit: I have found my problem - The iPhone version is also full but the link is wrong and I don't know how to link to iTunes store, but you need the link to be "Where Angels Cry (Full)" rather than to the "Where Angels Cry" app which is the trial version. I did all this on my iPhone so I couldn't see the HD version, sorry!
I didn't post anything about an iPhone app. That was done by a mod. Which again, is why I hate mods interfering with posts!

Been playing this the last few days.
It's a bit harder than other recent G5 games that were free recently.Hidden objects game.
Looks more like an adventure game like Myst to me.

It's only a free trial, the full game unlock - at least for iphone - is still $5.49.
Possible they've gone from paid game to trial and unlock to tempt customers and you didn't notice?
