  • Seriously, what's the point???
For a few dollars more you can buy a brand-new system with at least twice the performance.

I mean, Wow, the 19" LCD Monitor got 4.5/5 from PCMag OMGWTF! Yeah, in 2004!!!

I don't care if people say, "Oh, but it's good for Internet and Office", because I can tell you now that people that use just Internet and Office load up all sorts of crap now (Just
look at the icons in the bottom right in the Notification Area).

And I wouldn't rely on it for a file server or any kind of server with crucial data.

"Our opology, it sold out too quickly due to our limited stock. We learned. So this time, we hope we prepared sufficient HP DC7600 pack for you."

I love it, seriously, you sold out…yeah, your selling us all out buddy.

Thanks Kuric. You made your point.

But this statement: "For a few dollars more you can buy a brand-new system with at least twice the performance." is not true.

Even a Microsoft Windows XP can cost you more than $180 these days.

So I really doubt if $169($349 - $180) can get you a brand new system? what about lcd + keyboard + mouse?

Seriously, you didn't get the point, I'm sorry..

Tao, if you price everything independently of course the system will look like great value on paper. If you price Win XP at $180, are you implying that your package comes with a brand new XP license? I'm pretty sure it's an OEM edition with a COA… very different value.

Also, regardless of performance, is your offer actually a bargain? A quick search through eBay on the same model shows an average price of ~$140 (low $100 - high $175) for box only and ~$320 with 17" LCD, but some varied with double the RAM and HDD (low $237 - high $395).

If you look at a recent Ozbargain offer - ASUS 22" LCD for $190 (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/12950) and the average price for box only ~$140, plus a 0generic keyboard/mouse $15, it comes to ~$345 plus shipping which may be a little more as the 3 components are being sourced separately.

So at $349 + $29.50 shipping, I have to conclude that your final price of $378.50 is nothing special.
