OzBargain email

Does anyone know how to set the time zone that allows me to receive the ozbargain email on the same day as the deals were posted. I always receive the email at 7:30am the next morning when there are always some deals expired the day before. I have chosen the real time of my location which is Sydney but not sure what the +1000 or + 1100 etc mean. Thanks in advance.

  • I made a twitter account just to be able to see deals posted as soon as they're up. I've never found email alert to be prompt enough.

There was someone who also asked this here

I think you are referring to the newsletter which by default goes out at around 7AM. That sends out the deals for the past 24 hours. You can set to not show expired deals in the newsletter.

I'll just copy/paste from the above linked thread:

RSS and Twitter are good ways to stay up to date with deals. Our Facebook page and Google+ will post any deals that score 50+ votes or more.

The other thing you can do is change the time you receive the newsletter by going to

My Account - edit - newsletter

From there you can change the time it is received

Send me daily newsletters by email
    in the morning
    mid-day
    in the evening

Or set a minimum vote count for the deals that are shown, categories or excluding expired deals in the newsletter.

We've changed some settings on the way we push deals to FB/G+ this week. We will only be pushing a max of 5 posts a day, which means that not all 50+ deals will end up being posted.
