  • Profit margins on measly 1366x768 probably at 95% now.

well, I have a Toshiba P50T-A01C, it has 15.6" Full HD + touch screen, honestly, so far I rarely use the touch screen plus the Full-HD on a mere 15.6" screen is 'pain in the arse' to read. With this one, all you gotta do is replacing the hhd to ssd with another $150-$200 for a long battery life plus stable working computer on-the-go ;)

will probably void the warranty though…

          It shouldn't

Only if you remove the screws and original hard drive with the "smashing" end of the hammer.

      • You could also swap out the ODD tray for a SSD bay, who uses disks anymore

        • I did this and placed my ODD tray into a caddy so it's a USB version now.

          Makes such a huge difference.

  • not touchscreen?
    just checking

    • no touchscreen but most people would rarely use the touchscreen on windows 8 computers though

I thought that was what win 8 was designed for.

        • To have that option, but mainly for tablets.

Using Win 8 without a touch screen is a horrible experience.

        • +1

For me, using Win8 is a horrible experience full stop!
If I wanted a tablet looking based OS I would've just bought a tablet!

  • price back to $999?

    • Oh no…. missed a bargain…

  • if it had 8 or 16 gigs of ram I would buy it.
