SD Speed Class Ratings (From wiki)

SD Cards and SDHC Cards have Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[6]

    • Class 2: 2 MB/s - 13x
    • Class 4: 4 MB/s - 26x
    • Class 6: 6 MB/s - 40x

Problem with sandisk is their cards are often well above the class specs but they still advertise it with the lower class number. This card may well do over 6mbsec but they only guarantee a class 2 speed.

  • Product not found from the link. It's sold out or typo?

    • no type. HT deals are usually only daily one day specials. Since the store is closed. I assume that todays deal has expired or finished.

You can still get this deal by going to www.ht.com.au and searching for SDHC. It's in the middle of the page.

  • Sandisk card reader via USB and a Sandisk card 4GB, seems like a bargain to me. It wasn't long ago cards like this retailed around the same price. By using the card in the card reader, I'm assuming it would also act as some type of flash drive, even more useful.

    Awesome bargain mate :D

  • i wonder if the Card reader that comes with this will support 4-8GB cards?

    • Yes. SDHC card reader should support all SDHC devices (restriction is based on SDHC technology, not by the card reader).
