Yes, this is good for your dashcam.*

      Just to add:

These are the 'recommended' memory card by VIOFO for their Dashcams

      • Why isn't Samsung recommended? I heard that might even be better than SanDisk one?

        • I use a 128Gb Samsung Pro Endurance in my Viofo A119 V3…. works without any issue (and that size card stores about 10 hours of video, using the 2K H265 setting)

ive had 3 samsung pro endurance fail in the past 12 months. The cards get the rma process, they replace them with a new one and it fails just as fast as the last one. My partner runs a sandisk high endurance 128gb that hasnt been replaced in the past 2.5 years. Both of these cards get run in each of our cars using a blackvue 9__ model duel channel dash cam.

Thankfully i have this card sitting on my desk to replace the samsung im using right now when it inevitably fails again.

@Kiato: Had the opposite happen in blackvue 750S. Killed 2 256GB sandisk high endurance in less than 6 months but didnt have issues with Samsung pro endurance cards in same camera. Also no issues with Samsung pro endurance in 900x plus after 2years 4 months.

Didn't perform well in my 70mai A810 (Dual cameras). Worked okay for a week then started displaying errors that the card couldn't keep up with the write speeds.
Not sure if I got a dud but after switching back to a standard Sandisk Extreme, it works perfectly and have had no issues. YMMV

      • Interesting. Been flawless in my 70mai 1S for a good 18 months now.

        • +1

Might have something to do with the dual camera setup but its odd that the Sandisk Extreme works fine and the Max Endurance doesn't

    • Should you format storage cards before using them in a dashcam?

    • +1

It’s pretty crap, I bought two previously for my dash cams and went off by reviews others had posted saying it was good. Both were used and within a month it’s bricked itself.

Is this a better performer than SanDisk Extreme? Because it's double the price

It's MLC or TLC memory (depending on size). Even the Extreme Pro cards are QLC these days.
      It's not about performance.

    • Different purpose, ideally you would not really be cross shopping these cards, you either need one or the other. This is an endurance card for situations where the card is continuously written to like a dashcam or surveillance camera.

    • FYI Gopro doesn't work well with Sandisk cards, don't ask why, confirmed with r/Gopro and my own sad experience. Use Samsung.

    Is this seller legit?

      • +5

It's more about getting fake memory cards.

        • +1

You beat me to it. Sandisk must be the most counterfeited brand out there. I pay more to get the real thing.

  • -1

I don't trust Amazon for memory cards and other items likely to be fake. Prove me wrong?

      https://shop.sandisk.com/en-au/company/distributors
Amazon is one of only 3 authorised online stores in the country to stock them.

      Amazon, Wireless1, and Officeworks.

      • +9

I would guess that only applies when Amazon AU is the seller, whereas this is a 3rd party seller (with stock held by Amazon)

    • +1

      Price match at officeworks?

      • -2

        That's what I usually do.

      • +1

OW only price beats Sold & Delivered by AmazonAU. Sometimes might get lucky with a store person who'll price beat sold by 3rd party on Amazon.

        • I've never had any problems as long as it says .Au on website

This doesn't work with Switch 2

  • This is for high heat and things like anpr cameras. If you want speed its not this

16 gigs a bit too low for SD

    • +2

Believe it or not, its actually too big for SD.

The SD standard tops out at 2GB.
      SDHC takes over until 32GB.
From there, its SDXC which is currently rated up to 2TB.

  • It dropped to this price while the previous deal was posted. Also cheaper via Amazon US as pointed out in previous deal but only 1 left now. Currently 22.90usd+ 11.20 shipping + tax =37.51usd, 60.03aud.

  • Works perfectly on my VIOFO A229 Pro dual channel, highly recommended

  • Ahh. It finally dropped. $7 saving is ok.

  • Why is this even $67? I bought a Sandisk High Endurance for $35 a couple of months back. Surely they're not significantly different..

    • +1

I believe high endurance is 20,000 writes, and max endurance is 120,000 writes

      • Ah, interesting. Good to know, thanks.

  • Great, I need a new one for my dash cam cos my current one is completely full of examples of bad driving in inner Sydney

  • can I get price beat at OW?
