AcePlayer -Powerful Media Player iOS Universal Free - Was $2.99

330

AcePlayer can play almost any file format movies and streaming directly on iPhone/iPod/iPad. Just transfer the media files to your ios devices by iTunes File Shareing or over Wi-Fi,then it can be played at once. With built-in downloader and FTP/Samba client, it is not just a local movie player,it is "Movie Player & Downloader & Streaming Media Player" in fact. You can also stream/download media files from most of all UPnP/DLNA media servers to your ios devices.

I put my Flacs on my device and play them through my car stereo, sounds good.

    Thanks for the post.
    This player looks promising.

VLC for iOS managed to play a movie from a DLNA server properly where the other options had no sound.

Yep I swear by VLC. I've found it to be the best all-round (and I've tried heaps).

  • Seems this player has DTS playback which is quite a nice surprise, though Samba playback seemed a little choppy (large file though and my Wi-Fi isn't great). Will have to play with this one a little more.

  • Love the app. Never got iTunes working properly, so this is my preferred means of transferring (via wifi) and watching films.

  • GPlayer cd well be the best player however I believe, this has been removed from Australian Store.

    Still free?? Getting $2.99…

    • Same

    • Yep I tried to get it last night, it said free but wouldn't let me download as it said the content was being modified. I assumed I got in just too late.

  • I got this app over a year ago and it's well worth it. I can browse and play files directly from my NAS, even have the option to download the file directly to the IOS device for offline play.
