KFC 9 Pieces of Chicken for $9.95 Tuesday

1740

It's back 9 pieces of chicken for $9.95 with the large chips & potato and gravy for $5 extra.

Saw this advertised yesterday at the Doncaster KFC and the guy at the counter said it would be on for at least a few weeks. Not sure how many other stores are included though.

  • Also, I'm not sure how to flip the picture… sorry!

      • +2

so? it says 9 pieces for $9.95

    • +3

Looks like all the chicken fell out of the picture. :)

Maybe hold your Sony phone the right way up? Failing that I'm sure there's an Android app to flip photos.

      • haha it was taken the right way up and the right way up before uploading, i just uploaded a new upside down picture and it came right way up…

        • By the way thanks for the first time post effort.

  • Do they let you swap chips for a drink?

    • It's 2 sides, so I don't see why not.

  • +12

I hate to upset you OP, but this has never been taken off in Qld - permanent thing on Tuesdays for over a year now.

    • +27

We go through this with a token QLD'er on every KFC deal.

KFC QLD is a separate entity from the rest of Australia - and thus, the prices are different. OP here has posted this deal for those outside of QLD.

        • +10

Tessel you need to calm your farm.

        And……?

I wasn't being critical of his post, simply rubbing it in. lol

      • +5

I think Queensland has hot n spicy all year round too

        • +1

KFC Sydney Town Hall used to have hot n spicy all the time, not sure at the moment.

        • +2

why they don't always have hot n' spicy I'll never understand…

        • +5

You don't have it all year round? I would never bother eating KFC if they didn't have hot n spicy. Wow, the things we take for granted living in this great state.

        • Marketing…. Same as the honey sesame chicken. Once a year it returns..

        • +1

We only get that one periodically too so don't feel bad.

        • Yep All Year Round… :D……………….

        • +1

Hot and spicy is the only reason to have KFC. It's subpar with 'original'.

    • +1

      Same for WA

      • I don't think WA has it all year around. I don't even think they have it at the moment

      • saw it being advertised at a couple of places. but am still skeptical about their level of food safety (ive had a a few run in with chicken not being 100% cooked)

        • ive had a a few run in with chicken being >100% cooked (burned)

        • +2

honestly, i would rather something burnt than being undercooked, especially when it comes to chicken as uncooked chicken can cause problems. beef on the other hand is fine to be slightly raw.

        • Raw meat can hold e.coli so raw mince is not fine.

  • OP, you have set the deal expiry date to be the same as the start day. This means your deal will be valid for one day only.

    • sorry, I thought that I had to put an end date in. thanks

  • +2

thanks OP, will go great with the free first aid box.

  • Oh crap! More temptation to resist as I started gym… Damn

    Can't beat that taste

Looks like Tuesday night is McFlurry and KFC night.

    Silly southerns.

  • +3

    Just in time

I'm running low on type 2 diabetes and CVD

Got to love that pain in the chest after devouring this stuff

    • +1

You should probably go see a doctor if you get pains in your chest shortly after eating this.

  • +1

Looking forward to tales on Facebook where KFC can't keep up with demand and have no chicken for up to 20 minutes…

  • +3

Theres still no hot and spicy in NSW now?

    • +5

If KFC did not have Hot and Spicy… I would never eat there. KFC needs Hot and Spicy to survive IMHO.

    • Only 2 or 3 suburbs have them: City stores, Artarmon and Chatswood.

  • Is that large chips, and regular potato and gravy?
Or is it large chips and large potato and gravy?

Larger potato and gravy! So tasty.

Hmm… Large chips doesn't work with regular potato and gravy. It's too small!

  • It's always on here, it never ends. It's finger lickin' good!

  • You can eat > of these and still be under your daily intact of energy.

    • Have 3 pieces for breakfast, 3 for Lunch and 3 for Dinner and you wont go over your daily calories if you're a reasonably active male. However the oil and sodium can make for a zit explosion if your prone to such things.

      • +1

Last time this was out I bought 9 pieces a week, and ate no more than 2/3 a day until it ran out, until the next Tuesday. Is this a sustainable way to enjoy KFC, given I am reasonably active?

        • +1

No definitely not, you need to eat at least 9 pieces per meal. Think to yourself 9 pieces is a chicken. In cave times when you caught an animal the whole animal would be eaten.

        • +2

LOL… but back then you needed to hunt for the damn animal. So your energy expenditure would be greater. Nowadays we grab the car keys and drive thru :)

    • Depends on person, around 6 pieces would exceed my daily needs.

    • Base metabolic rates are higher for people with higher weights.

So yeah, the more enormous you are, the more fried chicken you can eat in one day and still be well below your 'daily intake of energy' as you say, which I assume is meant to be in reference to your BMR.

So your point isn't necessarily a good one :P

  • Does the Qld deal include the option of $5 for two sides? I have only ever noticed the 9pcs chicken advertised, not the sides.

    • Yeah 2 sides for 5 bucks in QLD all the time too. :-D

    • It might not be advertised, but there are usually signs in store. If in doubt, just ask.

  • Thanks just what i needed…

  • my new favourite day!

  • +6

I remember i use to eat kfc while watching the biggest loser.

  • I wish they would bring back the roast they used to do. Cant recall what it was called, but it was something roast though.

    • Tender roast.

      • Yuck - that was plain AWFUL. Tasted like it was microwaved.

  • Back?? My local KFC never stopped this offer.

    • Lucky you… :) My local did.

    • -6

I've never seen a KFC that stopped this. Sure they pulled down the posters etc but they always honoured the deal

But this is not the first time that I've seen this deal posted either. Somehow it still gets viewed as a new deal. I don;t get it

      • I asked at some KFC the other week whether they still had it and they said no…

      • it's always been available in QLD but in other states it's on and off

    • The KFC in Highett, Vic stopped this offer.

-It makes sense for KFC as the promotion is probably not needed over the Christmas and New Year break, as sales are high in this period.

  • +1

does it available at stores in NSW?

    • yep

  • Available at stores in WA.
    Thanks OP!!

  • is this available during lunch time too?

    • yes, it's for for the Whole of Tuesday

  • i wonder why they aren't advertising this on tv much, first i heard of it was a tv ad just now in Melbourne even though the offer started again last Tuesday…

  • The television advertisement makes it seem like it's only available at Night. lol.

  • is this still on?

    • Ask them on Facebook or call them. Please let us know the outcome

      • +1

It was still on the 11th March. Next week? Who knows.

        • +1

It was still on the menu yesterday at gosford
