I discovered this hosting when I was creating my course on HTML5. I logged in today to discover that they are giving there hosting/environment with 4GB for free for the next 5 days. I really like the place check it out it's worth it - and free after all.
its mainly for developers or people that want to be developers as it gives you root access to a Linux system.

Free for ever .. or a month or a year? how much to keep it going?
EDIT: Signed up - worth a look for FREE, but even once signed up I can't tell what the ongoing cost or period might be .. there is a payments area in my account though. Looks like fun and might be a better alternative then messy around on my raspberryPi.

as far as i know its free forever but its not for production environments its as a development environment.
so you can experiment in the root and do what ever you want and such but once you go live i think they will probably at some point charge for live sites. its a new company so its not clear really. anyways i hope some click through my rel so i get some GB's for letting you know about it :)

Hrm.. sorry I thought referrals clearly stated as such in comments was OK .. remember seeing a lot of them for GreenMan Gaming stuff (maybe thats why the rules changed / evolved) … anyway thanks Ethanol.
