AirAsia has put on another global international sale - The prices are pretty good, but the best thing is the travel period starts only two weeks away - so if you buy, you don't have to wait 8 months to take your holiday.

Booking Period: 1 Jun 2009 - 14 Jun 2009
Travel Period: 15 Jun 2009 - 13 Sep 2009

Most interesting fares (all one way):

• Perth to Kuala Lumpur: $99
• Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur: $199
• Gold Coast to Kuala Lumpur: $199
• Kuala Lumpur to London: $227

That means you can get one way to London (via KL) from Melbourne for $426 (pretty good). Remember kids, it's summer in europe at the moment!

  Hmm.. so this is basically the same as the sale that ended today except a bit cheaper and more restrictive flight dates? :P Does anyone have an idea of what their 'non sale' fares are?

  edit: They seem to be, at the cheapest, $232 excluding taxes for OOL <—-> KUL. So around $570 for a full trip. Is that the cheapest to anywhere in SE asia?

    hehe, yeah, it is a bit like that. I wonder at what point the "sales" just become "normal".

    The only reason I bothered posting it is at least it means there's cheaper fares in the short term (ie: usually all the actual cheap ones are 4-5 months away).

    In theory, the "normal" MEL->KUL leg is $349 but it's so often $199 it does seem a tad silly :)

  those in Sydney who want to travel to London (me), it will take them back approximately 990$ return.

  dates? it all seems to be the same price from now until end of september, +-$10 i reckon, if that.

  it is actually quite cheap bcos perth to kl (return), $0 airfare is around 140, and this promotion is around $190, so only $50 diff and u don't need to book in advance.
  i have book my ticket in advance and i hv to pay $168 for one way…kind of sad…

  Hey guys,

  I don't know about the sale prices

  But I'm flying out to Kuala Lumpur between 5th of July and coming back 10th of July via Melb

  I got tickets for $143…AUD each way…total of $882 for 2 Adults Return

  So infact the price of tickets in this "Sale" has gone up…so make sure you look around and these prices do not include tax.

    When did you buy them though? Generally the list sales prices are higher then what you can actually get in the booking system.
