  • Very nice price. Definitely the tablet to own if you use one near water.

There's a guy at work who spills all his drinks, would also be a perfect companion device.

I use my laptops and tablets as adult diapers so would be beneficial for me as well.

Pretty good price for a waterproof windows 8 tablet, but for $79 more you can get the first generation Microsoft Surface Pro. While this Fujitsu may be lighter and more battery efficient, the Surface Pro has a better CPU (Core i5 3317U vs Atom Z2760), more RAM (4GB vs of 2GB), a higher resolution screen (1080p vs 1366x768 ~720p) and an active digitizer.

The new win 8.1 Baytrail Generation Tablets "Dell Venue Pro, Miix 2" run rings around this dinosaur. Not hard to pick them up for $350

Indeed not really a bargain when Asus Transformer Book T100 (baytrail based) comes down below $500 every now and then, with keyboard included. However for the Fujitsu here you also get

      • water & dust proof
      • Windows 8 Pro
      • And three years warranty to boot, its starting to peak my interest

        • that is definitely worth having in the tablet market.

Great if you want something waterproof, otherwise this has to be inferior to every other tablet in this price range.

  • +1

IPX8 indicates that STYLISTIC QH582 continues to function and that no water gets inside when the device is dropped in fresh water under up to 1.5 meter of submersion for a duration of maximum 30 minutes. Water must be normal temperature and fresh water.

  • The big name tablet manufacturers should release more waterproof tablets to compete with the Xperia Z Tab. As it stands at the moment the Xperia Z Tab is the only native waterproof (no ext. case/bag needed) tab out at the moment on the market (besides this QH582) so not much choice.
