Well. I was thinking about putting this in forum. But, putting in deal section for now.

Anyway, Deal is you get 20% off already reduced price.

You can get Rayban for ~$85 with coupon code on sale times. Pradas, Guccis & Tom Fords on sale for ~$170 with the code. I saw exactly same Prada ones at DJs for $485. Seems to have good reviews and seem to be genuine based on review on Ozbargain and www.

But here is my experience so far.

1. Pull the trigger a week ago. Money taken out from Credit card.
2. Got a email from [email protected] 5 days ago to send my photo ID and utility bill. what the…. They say its for my own security purposes. Anyway, I deleted my ID number and send them. Asked for an update 4 days ago. Nothing.
3. Asked update again via email. [email protected]. Again, nada
4. Contacted over the phone, rings and diverts to some numbers. Goes to voicemail. Please leave a msg. beep in US accent, yet this is UK company..
5. Connected via "Chat Online" Got told to contact [email protected].
   Next step: Wait till tomorrow and if nothing, calling bank to say they are fraud.

Hmmmmm, I am not selling this deal very well, am I?

Keen to hear if there is any similar experience.

  I had a similar experience with them last year when I bought some specs. Because I used a credit card not paypal they asked for all sorts of verification. I got a hold of them on the phone and told them I wouldn't send them any of the info they requested because identity theft. They then sent through my purchase without my further ado. Genuine ray bans were received shortly after this.

    Interesting. Thanks for sharing your news. My problem is not really sending ID. I have shipments from very reputable brand & store in Paris and when I ordered over the phone, they ask for copy of my passport. I happily gave to them. But, I never heard of these guys and this why would you take money first and ask for ID later. Do it at the same time would make more sense. Also horrible customer service…

  Looking at the pics of the RayBans, the 2 I looked at appear to be fakes. One lens has RayBans printed, but the opposite lens appears to be missing the etched RB. I have two pairs of RayBans, both from Sunglass Hut, both have the etched RB on one lens and the other has RayBans P painted on them.

  Just my opinion, and maybe I just cant see it. But it appears to be missing to me.

    they are listed as official dealer in ray-ban website, so I don't think they are fake.. but the problem is that you will never get your sunnies..

      Where does it say that they're an official dealer? I can see that sunglasses-shop.co.uk is listed as an official dealer on the Ray Ban UK site. However sunglassesshop and sunglasses-shop are not the same site.

  I used them twice recently for Raybans. Both came through in about a week and appeared genuine.

  I sent a pair back as they were the wrong size and even though I clearly asked for an exchange (even filled in exchange paperwork) they gave me a refund instead.

  Would use them again though as they are cheap and mostly hassle free.

  I would be cautious about dealing with this company. After one satisfactory purchase experience, there was the recent fiasco of them accepting orders and charging for stock they didn't have resulting in many disappointed customers. It was a similar promo (although 50% off sale items). At least check availability before ordering.
