SO many people on CPL that my order took very long to process, and now its telling me its OUT OF STOCK!

  • +7

    No add to cart button.

    What a brilliant marketing strategy.
How many of us suckers visited your site!!

    • Bit hard to add it to the cart when there's no stock.

      • When I click on the link it says in stock

        Stock Availability
        Online Delivery: In Stock
        Notting Hill Pickup: Pickup available
        West Melbourne Pickup: Pickup available

        • OK, mine is showing:

          Stock Availability
          Online Delivery: Out of Stock
Notting Hill Pickup: Out of Stock
West Melbourne Pickup: Out of Stock

    • +7

As of now, this marketing strategy has generated 1582 new visitors in just under an hour.

      Not bad…

Hey these "catch of the day" style tactics work for the short term but they do leave a bad taste in your mouth.

      • I can understand you're disappointed you didn't get one, but this was nothing like Catch of the Day.

There was no advance hype drumming up a frenzy. Just a simple deal posted with "limited units available". There was no catch; in fact adding anything else to your cart would add postage thus detracting from the perceived deal.

Congrats to the fast OzBargainer's who scored one, and thanks to CPL for making the deal available.

        • +2

It was in stock when I tried to buy it ages ago, but their site kept failing with an error message. 15-20 minutes later it went out of stock. I was trying to proceed to step 5 the whole time.

It had nothing to do with how fast someone was - even if you got in while it was in stock, whether or not you could successfully check out became a lottery.

If you dangle a good deal in front of lots of people who get frustrated because your site keeps failing when they try to buy it, you'll just end up making them feeling a bit bitter about your business.

  • Apparently the "Add To Cart" button is missing!

  • Samsung 8GB Micro Plus SDHC MB-MP8GB/CN - OZbargain Special 4.2.2014 Only
    * This product is currently out of stock.

  • +1

    Stock Availability
    Online Delivery: In Stock
    Notting Hill Pickup: Pickup available
    West Melbourne Pickup: Pickup available

But alas no add to cart button. Has been OB'd

  • no stock anywhere now

  • At least the shipping is free this time and not $3.

Tried to buy within minutes of this deal being posted

Got error messages for 20 mins -> gave up!

    So how many got one?

Just a hype &/or email harvesting scheme it would seem. Not much of a goodwill harvesting scheme though.
    Fool me once…

  • +3

Had the item in my cart and whether I tried to continue with purchase it kept booting me back to the shopping cart even though I double checked the product was still in stock, very disappointing purchase experience.

  • +1 for the deal.

8GB is too small for me personally.

    • How about 8 inches then?

  • +1

I had a bad experience with this company. They would try to find an excuse to reject your order. If they are not going to honor their deal, please don't run any promotion. So I won't buy anything from this company. I rather to buy stuff from MSY, more direct and simple.

    MSY price:
Micro SDHC Samsung Plus 8G $7.00
    Class 10 Micro SDHC Patriot 8G $9.00

  • My order still shows pending, even though paid immediately two days ago. Any other experiences?

    REP: what is happening??

    • Same here: Order #100020008 - Pending

      • Today shows "Delivery - Courier - Free Shipping".

        Thanks OP.

        • Thanks. Mine always showed "Delivery - Courier - Free Shipping" under "Shipping Method".

The difference today is the heading says "Complete" rather than "Pending".

        • Whoops, not sure what I was doing there. I was meant to post the "Order # - Complete" bit. Anyway, good to see yours was the same :)
