    11 percent ???

  • Jerky and biltong deals usually get high votes on OzB, but it seems to be very expensive, even with the occasional posted discounts.
    Why?

    • If you've ever tasted biltong then you're guaranteed to never be in the position where you're the one asking that very same question.

Howdy - are any deals on the regular biltong possible?

      Hi Adante,
Here's a 5% off coupon that you can use before Friday: 'anyfive', and it applies to any of the products. Of course if you also buy $35 of the snapsticks, the 11% coupon would be better.
There are promotions roughly once a month that would apply to the regular 'traditional' / soft biltong. Usually this gets emailed through the newsletter or FB. You can sign up to the newsletter on the bottom-right of the website homepage.

  • Do you make shredded biltong?

    • Hi kwaker,
The traditional biltong has the option to have it thinly 'sliced' (or 'shredded'), instead of whole thick pieces. As I'm sure you know, the snapsticks come in thin sticks which are also easy to eat (but not as tender as the traditional), and you can pull or 'snap' them in half.
When you say 'shredded' biltong, you could also be referring to something like 'biltong powder' which some people request. It's dry biltong that's been ground down almost into a powder, and they like to spread it on sandwiches or put it into baked goods, or as a garnish for salads etc — usually people who grew up with the stuff are interested in that, and it's available as a special request if you buy it as traditional biltong.

      • I don't mean sliced or powder I mean shredded or also known as pulled.

  • Guys, I'm lucky enough to live not far from this place. The stickies are awesome. If you like dry jerky, I've had no better
They're not far from warringah mall

It sounds expensive, (it isn't, it's so light that you get a huge volume compared to biltong / more soft jerky) but you HAVE To try it
Whenever I've got a spare 20 or 30 bux and I'm nearby (happening a couple of times a month). I swing by.

Keep a bag of them and a bottle of water in the car…who needs a proper lunch when. You're stuck In Sydney traffic!!

BBQ ones are te missus fave, they're a little softer,
Garlic ones / chilli are mine,

Biltongs are AWESOME. It's soooo much nicer than jerky. I was eating it everyday when i was on a work trip in Cape town.

That said…. I understand whilst there's not much competition/other sellers and all… but it's about $15 bucks a kilo in Cape Town and i was told that's considered expensive.

I guess it doesn't make sense to compare price in this way

Considering the price of raw beef in australia, $15/kg is unrealistic in australia
