Been looking for one of these since I picked up a V1 from the DJ deal. Glad I waited!

"The FT1 mount adapter allows NIKKOR F mount lenses to be used with Nikon 1 cameras equipped with a Nikon 1 mount. The angle of view of an F mount lens mounted on the FT1 is equivalent to that of a 35mm format lens with a focal length about 2.7 x longer."

Ebay (grey stock) is $235, next cheapest local stock is Leederville in WA for $265 shipped. JB and other camera store advertise well over $300.

  • Wow! This is cheap, especially from local shops.

  • Nice, I also bought the david jones nikon 1 v1. Been looking for accessories.

  • Sadly, out of stock.

    • You can call 1300 980 399 and they will manually process your order. Thats what they told me on the online chat.

  • Make sure you update the firmware to the latest version. It makes a difference for AF speed. I use mine with the 40mm DX all the time.

  • The whole Nikon 1 system is good for a supplement to existing Nikon user. Allow them to travel light . To use this as your main photo system is really a joke. 2.7 Crop….. imagine the noise level when you shoot in high iso. I never understand why Nikon bring out this system and I never will understand it.

Better than all compacts using 1/2.3 inch sensors.

I never understand why Nikon bring out this system and I never will understand it.

I will never understand the pricing. The Nikon 1 V2 is selling for just under $800 USD. I see the system as having its place at the table (good focus in good light plus subject tracking, plus electronic shutter & high speed electronic shutter modes…and it's the only range of interchangeable-lens Nikon cameras that actually do Pixel Mapping in case of bad pixels on the sensor - which is about time).

But I just can't help but laugh at what Nikon charge, and this adaptor is a perfect example of their overpriced policies. Though this is a great deal on this model and very good for a local store.
