So half the games it comes with need kinect and the bundle doesn't come with kinect? That is very odd. I wonder how many people unaware of this will buy this and be quite dissapointed and frustrated.

Yeah I don't know why it wasn't included.

  • Direct link - http://www.dicksmith.com.au/xbox-360/xbox-360-250gb-bundle-d…

Unfortunately most of these games are not so good. The core bundle with Halo and Tomb Raider is $268 at Harvey Norman - http://www.harveynorman.com.au/gaming/game-consoles/gaming-c… or with those games plus Battlefield 4 for $299 at JB Hi-Fi - http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/xbox-360/xbox-360-250gb-…, and $298 at EB Games - https://ebgames.com.au/xbox360-999953-Xbox-360-250GB-Console…

Are these other games worth the extra money?

    Okay soo…..2 Games, then.

All these games were given as holiday bundles since 2009, they probably had some of the $0.01 left over and decided to put it all together to make this "mega deal"

does anybody feel comfortable paying $348 for a 360 and a pile of old games?

    • I would feel comfortable about doing that… if there were more than two good games included. As it stands, this is a pretty crapola deal.

      • +1

its a LOT of money for an outgoing console which you can get for under $200 pretty regularly

        • Recently for $60 after cashback

        • That was the 4GB model. 250GB ones will set you back more as would adding a HDD to the 4GB one if you got that.

Not that I think that this is a deal either, but at the same time the cashback models weren't the same SKU so its not a fair comparison.

        • Yeah, the hard drives can be had at a reasonable price at which point you'd have a $120+ console which is still very good. Either way, it's a bit moot now given the redemption ended over a month ago and can't be had any longer.

  • It's definitely a bundle for the kids and not hard core gamers.

  • im sure the accc / consumer affairs would kick dick smith in the butt on this one if reported.
advertising and selling games than can't be played on that system.
    clearly misleading and deceptive conduct.
bet sum mums by the pack, get home and wonder why lil johnny cant play the game!

  • still an good deal I rekon

Just checked the link and the price has come down to $248. Must have been a pricing error. Not a bad deal now!

    • Well spotted. Yes, much more appealing now!

  • Urgh, I should have ordered this last night; it's up to $298 now… Just what are they playing at?
