  • may be a good deal for noise cancelling earphones

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/tdk-nc350-i…

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/sony-noise-… <- these are normally $80-90 at JB Hi-Fi

    • Why don't DSE sell Bose :(

    • I have a pair of the TDK's and I wouldnt buy them again. The benefit of the noise cancellation is outweighed by the bulky little black box that gets in your way…. Its very annoying. I assume the same goes for the Sony headphones

    • I noted a couple of great bargains below too. UE4000 and HD201
I sold my TDK noise cancellers, got some UEs instead

  • Grrr they only have 1 pair of Bluetooth sports earphones -_-

    • +1

If it's the Jabra sport wireless you're talking about, my husband's lasted less than 4 weeks before they stopped holding charge properly. Took them back to DSE and of course they had to go back for repair. 2.5 weeks later and they're still at the first stage of assessment (ie sitting in a box somewhere waiting for someone to look at them). He really liked the headphones at first, maybe he got a dud pair but it's ended up being a bit of a pain.

  • $207 is a pretty great price for Sennheiser Momentums right?

    • +1

I think there was two version of Momentum, on ear and over ear.

I bought my on ear from Myer when they had 40% off.

If you really need a headphone right now, it's not a bad deal, but could be better.

      • Ah, didn't realise there are two versions. That would explain the price!

    • +1

take note.. its "on-ear" and not "over-ear"..

    • Pretty sure this comes under 'does not apply to me' as a specific reason to NOT neg something

  • +3

My recent unpleasant dealings with DSE has completely turned me off buying from them. It's a shame because when I see deals posted here a part of me is tempted to take them up but then I get a sharp, shooting pain up my spine which snaps me back into reality and I quickly browse elsewhere.

    • I dunno… it's luck of the draw really with Dick. Plenty of people didn't even bother trying when they were clearing out Wii U's, but just from calling a couple of stores I was easily able to source one. If a deal is good, what's the harm in trying?

  • +1

Logitech UE4000 (white only) for $49 http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/logitech-ue… almost certainly the best can at this price.

$35 is also a great price for this perennial low end top reference over the ear sealed headphone, used in studios across the world. Cheap and Durable with accurate, even and uncouloured sound the Sennheiser HD-201 Has been the low end sealed headphone of choice for years. Good enough to work with professionally but cheap enough to not blow the whole session's profit when an artist breaks a set. Every time you see TripleJs like a version you will see the artists and presenters using them (or at least I have).
If you are looking for something no frills, with a flat, accurate presence you would be hard pressed to find better, though if you like a bit of bass and dont mind an on-ear the UE400 above are a better buy.

  • Nothing eye catching, just a whole lot of bits and pieces. It's clear it's 30% of RRP because a lot of the more known stuff like the UE900 is still overpriced compared to other places online.

  • PIONEER Dynamic Over-Ear Heaphones White SEMJ721W looks nice for $27.99. Of course at that price, I'm sure it sounds like complete ass.

  • The Smokin Buds 2 are a pretty neat price, considering they do have an inline mic, just not shown in the pics/specs…
