38% off Shimano Flick'r Rod/Reel Combo. Normally $159 Now $99 + $8 Shipping - GetFishing.com.au

60

Hi guys, we've just added some new fishing deals to our Australian fishing website.
Among the deals is the Shimano Flick'r/Cazna rod/reel spin combo at 38% off for $99, normally $159. This combo is exclusive to Getaway Outdoors in WA and apart from our deals page is available nowhere else online.
Shipping is an additional $8 flat rate to anywhere in Australia for up to 10kg of goods. Deal ends Thursday. More deals coming online this week.
**GetFishing.com.au is not an online fishing store. We are a fishing website that does 'Scoopon-like' deals. The deals component of GetFishing.com.au is a new concept and is set to expand in the coming months.

    Welcome, bring on the deals!!

    Thanks TKZ!

If there's anything in particular that you would like us to do a Deal on let us know. Fishing charters, boat hire, particular products, etc. You name it and we'll see what we can do :)

Good deals on quality braid? 300 or 600y spools are way too overpriced in AU shops compared to OS. But im guessing as a seller, might be difficult as you'd need to have multiple colours and breaking strains on offer for it to be an attractive deal.

eg: FINS (the basic version) is about $130 for 600y at BCF. I recently bought 500y of the FINS XS from Amazon for $72 delivered.

      • This request is not impossible. Will see what we can do. What sort of discount would attract your attention?

        • +1

93.5% discount possible? This is OzB after all!! j/k

Somewhere in the middle of BCF's and Amazon's prices (talking about recommended brands, not the chinese supercheap PE brands)

But as a fisho, any quality gear at a good price will get me sniffing around.

        • Haha TKZ I like your style :)

Yep we've all been there and used the cheap braid…one cast later you think to yourself "what a waste of money". You then strip it off and replace with full price braid because you can't wait around for delivery of your next cheap braid.

Will definitely do our best to get some braid deals online for you in the coming months. In the meantime all I can offer you is a chance to win one of our Sufix braid and leader packs via our fish of the month competition. See the website homepage for more details.

          Tight lines,

Welcome Get Fishing… is your plan to be similar to sneakyfisho.com.au?

I already have way too much fishing gear (I am told), but cant resist a bargain either. If you happen to come across some Wild River Tackle Tek lighted backpacks I could be tempted.

    Tight lines!

      Hi HSV_GTS,

I guess you could think of our Deals us as a cross between scoopon and sneakyfisho, however we are largely a fishing information site with forums, how-to's, videos, fishing spots map, business directory, species ID and more.

We only do deals on products that we deem as quality which we ship Australia wide for $8. We also do voucher deals on charters, boat hire, in-store products, etc where you print off your voucher and redeem the product or service in store or when making a booking, for example our current Sydney Harbour Charter Deal.

Will see what we can do in regards to Wild River Tackle Tek lighted backpacks for you, but no promises :)

      Thanks for your comment!

Specials on Daiwa gear - the good stuff that use alloy cogs - would be awesome.

    • +2

If you don't mind me asking, which state do you live smoke87?

The reason I ask is that we have some voucher deals on Daiwa gear coming up in Perth - pick-up only.

We hope to have these live next week. The products are quality Daiwa rods and reels (spin + o/h) and includes at least one new line of highly sought rods. We have physically played with the gear ourselves and yes, they are the good stuff - not Saltigas, but mid-range quality rods and reels - we refuse to do deals on rubbish.

Unfortunately I am in the ACT :(

I have a Daiwa beach reel and it is entirely alloy. The best gear I've ever seen.

Would love a new jigging rod reel combo - currently can't get the kingies to the boat quicker than the sharks!

Usually catching around the 30kg Mark - was using a mates shimano setup the other day so thought I'd best start looking for my own!

    Cheers,
    Ben

    • Lightningben you would like a new Jiging combo and the rest of us would like a slice of that action!
Kingies at that size would be hard to stop on any gear, let alone get back to the boat in a hurry to beat the sharks! What sort of gear are you and your mate currently using?

If it's spinning gear you're after, we would recommend you go straight to the high end gear - Shimano Stella or Daiwa Saltiga reel loaded with PE8 matched with a rod to suit. It can be difficult to deliver big savings on this caliber of gear for a number of reasons, however, nothing is impossible and we'll see what we can do.

Feel free to share some pics of your kingies in our forum or Facebook page, we have an ongoing Fish of the month competition with monthly Rapala prizes up to $150 in value to give away. You never know your luck.

        Hi again,

The rod is a shimano jigwrex s508 and the reel is a Shimano Stella 1800 sw - the high speed model, 5.7.1.

This is the kind of the thing we were catching ( http://getfishing.com.au/forums-base/topic/february-rapala-f… )

Would have liked to have landed a few more of the ones the sharks dined on.

        Thanks for me,
        Ben

        • Ripper pic lightningben, thanks for sharing.

Appears you have the right gear for the job…not much you can do about the sharks sometimes, hey?

Keep us updated with pics like that mate, will share it on our Facebook page.

Do you guys do fishing holidays? Want to take my partner away for a fishing holiday :)

    • +1

      Hi Mel,

Yes, we have done in the past but do not have any on offer right now.

We ran a 5 night sports fishing and accommodation package in Fiji for around AUD$2000 (not including flights).

      Details were:
      1-2 guests = save 20%
      3-4 guests = save 25%
5 nights accommodation in Safari Cabin
      3 x full days fishing
      Complementary and Additional activities

The resort was great and we have personally been to the resort and fished with the crew. BTW we caught plenty of fish :)

If you would like us to put you in touch with the resort or for further information you can contact us at [email protected] The owner of the resort is Australian and should be able to look after you with a similar discount.

      GF
