  • That's the older one according to the picture.

  • Old model, bought one with insurance shipping around $163

  • Looks like the old model based from the resolution listed 1280x800

  • 1B066A is the old version

  • Was $139 shipped last year.

    • +3

I paid $129 shipped last year

      • Damn! :(

      • same here…

      • I paid $129 shipped last year

        me too,

Of course they all failed to boot after the OS update, and had to be reflashed from scratch or returned to ASUS under warranty :(
I hope these ones have the correct firmware, but the problem was know about for months before the defective ones were sent to us.

  • Isn't this the older model?

  • Nexus 8 is around the corner guys (end of April).
Nexus 7 2nd Gen should be coming down in price soon.

    • Nexus 7 2nd gen shouldn't come down in price, as Nexus 8 is simply another one of their new lines of products.

I think they will continue the line of Nexus 7 with a new refresh.

    • Source?

        • +3

IME, IB Times is the very definition of an unreliable, blogspam-esque website. They throw out all the guesswork 'information' they can to attract page views. Unless Android Central, Android Authority or (sometimes) The Verge posts something definitive about it, I wouldn't believe it. For example, they've been posting that the Nexus 10 (2) has been coming 'very soon' for the past six months, and move the goalposts when they're wrong.

        • lol, good call :)

        • +1 to this. IB times is the worst source.

I would check out androidpolice.com for android news.

    • Hi Imatrix, N8 in April! Do you think I can buy it cheaper in US?

  • Still waiting for mine for repair….. total time waiting 7 weeks so far….. + slow shipping from grays 1.5 weeks
    + 4 times of service centre visit…….

    • Also the 7" Asus ASUS NAKASI(16G)-BR ~Quad Core~ for $119 delivered @ above store. NAKASI looks like a elaborated name as an addition to Asus, just in case you were wondering like me.

      • That's the Nexus 7 16GB (1st gen)

  • The Asus tablets have been fully refurbished by Asus Australia to the highest possible standards. They are NOT refurbished by a 3rd party, like some other products. They have been resealed with the manufacturers sticker on them.
The tablets are in full working order and carry a full 12 month warranty.

Receieved - Sent for repair, came back with firmware upgrade fix all - not true
Sent again - replace with another one (faulty again)
sent again - still waiting - not sure got new replacement or repair…. or another firmware upgrade fix all…..

1st incident, touch screen issue, ghost touch
2nd one - no sound and brightness random flicker…….

how could the 2nd one pass the highest Asus refurbish standard? and fully working order?

    • My $129 tablet was finally dead and sent back to the service center. At beginning a big circle
on the screen was found, but was able to covered by a screen protector.

Seems a lot of problems with those tablets sold last October by gray.

  • I found this tablet very unreliable that's why there are So many refurbished units on the market. I also bought one from grays but was returned as it became faulty after upgrade.
