      I have the MDR-V55 but not these. The design and weight seem identical but I believe these have better sound and more bass. Found a pretty good review here which covers the positives and negatives. Positives: the sound quality is very good. Negatives: no inline remote, y-shaped cord.

        When I visited the site for the first time by clicking on the link above there was a pop-up box in the middle of the screen making this offer. I dismissed it to view the deal and it didn't come back when I revisited the page. So I cleared my browser's cache, visited the page again and it reappeared. I'm at the checkout now and the discount has been applied. Total is $57.90.

        Sometimes it can just mean the boxes are dirty or got dust on them. Wouldn't affect the headphones which are sealed in plastic inside but they can't be easily sold like that in a retail store.

        Yes, and I have one as I bought the DT 990 PRO 250ohm but my missus wont let me use them because of sound leakage :(

          you have both DT 990 PRO and DT 770? which do you prefer? 990 is a little cheaper than 770 in amazon..

          k.. what amp u using with your DT 990 PRO 250ohm? i was looking at FiiO 11.. is it really required? would FiiO 6 be good enough?
