  watch out for the new cable on the amperiors.. this version of hd25s are designed more for iPods (noted in first line) due to having a shorter cord, remote and inline mic aswell as no screw in 1/4" adapter. not suited for DJ/Producing use at all

    I have one and you can use the cable without the inline mic. Nothing stopping you from using these for DJing, in fact I have a few friends that do just that (I have a pair of Shure DJ-750 for DJing but would use these in a heartbeat otherwise). There are some improvements over the HD-25 which can justify using them especially if its your only pair that you use not only for DJing.

  this is not hd25 mkii amperior, it is hd25 amperior. the mark ii is more expensive and better.

    Do you have any idea what you're saying?
    AFAIK there are a few versions that are very similar.
    HD25 Mk 1
    HD25 Mk 2
    Amperior (Not really labelled as HD25, but it's supposively the HD25's Street version/Low Impedance)
    HD25 Aluminium (25th Anniversary of the HD25, it is effectively HD25 MK2 with Amperior's Aluminium driver casing)

  Good price but not the cheapest, this was at one point going for around 170
