Hoyts Cinevouchers $6 Each - Valid Mon-Thurs - 275 Available

590

This is the second and last lot of tickets. I have 275 for sale (I'm keeping some for myself :-))

All voucher codes are provided by email so you can book online. I will get them out to you promptly but if you are planning a last minute movie, I might not get them to you in time.

Just to set expectations, uni has started once more and this is a lot more tickets than last time. I will endeavour to have them out as quickly as possible but typing out 275 voucher codes and pins takes time when I have to be in lectures :-) I don't expect it would take more than 24-48 hours to have them all sent out by email, although I would definitely hope to have them all done sooner. Orders will be processed first come first served.

Points to note:

  • these are vouchers for Adult tickets
  • valid for any regular session Monday to Thursday, including Xtremescreen and Beanbag cinema
  • 3D sessions will require an upgrade fee (approx $3, not including the glasses)
  • cannot be redeemed for La Premiere, Director's Suite, IMAX or special/group events
  • vouchers expire on March 31st, 2014

Any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer.

I just paid through PayPal, but when it took me back to your site it said that it had timed out or something.

Did these run out of stock while I was in the process of purchasing?

    • I think it probably did. if you have had the money taken out of your account, PM me the details of the transaction and I'll get it sorted out.

      • I double-checked and it looks like the money wasn't taken from my account. Thanks

        • well that's good (and bad cause you didn't get the tickets)

I just missed out so tomorrow ill sneak into the movies and save my $6

  • how do you redeem?

    • click the movie and session you want to see, it will take you to the tickets screen. At the top you'll see a link saying "Add Voucher" click on that and enter the details. Then just check out as normal.

  • Will cost $1.10 per ticket online to book I think? Correct me if I'm wrong

    • I think its free when using vouchers. I've used Optus Hoyts vouchers before and have never had to pay for the booking fee.

      • Hoyts will charge $1.10 booking fee even for voucher. Optus and telstra rewards include the booking fees

        • Generally yes but from the last one I ran someone said they didn't charge them on these. So be prepared for it but maybe you might get lucky.

  • S***! that was fast, Im like 'ill quickly make dinner and then come back do this. Bummer.

    • I was as surprised as you

  • Got my codes, thanks.

    • no worries, my pleasure.

  • Have used one voucher yesterday. I generated the barcode online on my phone (apparently Hoyts Vouchers use the standard CODE128), brought it to the box office, and scanned. No booking fee!

    • Great info, thanks for posting it!

      • generated the barcode online on my phone

Sorry for being a noob, but would I go about doing that?

        • Any help on how to do this? Can it be done inside the Hoyts app?

        • There are a few free barcode generator websites around, for example www.barcode-generator.org.

Paste your barcode number there, select CODE128, and generate. The barcode will be displayed on screen which can be scanned in the ticket counter.

        • Thanks!

Weren't the staff suspicious when you showed the barcode (no hoyts branding & doesn't look legit)?

What did you say when you were at the counter redeeming?

        • At least it worked for me. Try it first, you can always book online if they refused to scan it.

  • OK, I've been able to source some vouchers for Birch&Carroll/Event/Greater Union cinemas that are valid all days except after 5pm Saturday. Would there be any interest in these? I'd be selling them for $8 each.

    • What is the expiry on those ones?

    • Telstra and Optus sell them for $10, no booking fee online.

So technically it will cost $9 per ticket if you book online.

Maybe someone can start a Group buy , we could probably negotiate a price up to $300 with the seller making them $6 each
