    I have a friend with one of these chairs. It is actually really amazing, but I'm not sure it is $500 amazing.

    I am writing this sitting in my office chair I got from the tip recycling mob for $15. I wouldn't pass up one of these chairs second hand for about $300.

      Yes headrest can be removed but the stem that it slots into will remain. We do offer a version without the headrest/stem for $499 (same price as this deal) - I may be able to get a discount if interested.

      They are similar in that they are ergonomic mesh office chairs focused on heavy use - I haven't sat in the Aeron so can't comment on the comfort level - I believe the Ergohuman has more adjust-ability and obviously the lower price.

        What is the ground clearance from the center strut? One thing I hate about the Aaron chair is it doesnt have enough ground clearance.

          May be a similar story on the Ergohuman - clearance is 3cm from floor to center strut.

    you'll be hard pressed finding any OZbargainer willing to part $500 hard earned cash for a chair.

    I would be happy to buy a chair for $500 if it has 2 buttons

      I did see a deal for the Aeron chair @ $990 on OzBargain which seemed to get a lot of traffic. This is one of our high end chairs and thus the price tag.

      Not sure if we have those buttons on any of our chairs :P

    I decided to buy one in the green color. I've been looking to upgrade my crappy chair but the price tag of the aeron was putting me off. Will post another comment about my thoughts after its delivered and I get a chance to assemble it.

      Ok, chair arrived yesterday in a very big box, over 30kg! Put the chair together today - didn't take too long at all. Only 4 screws involved as the back comes in one piece so no need to assemble all those pieces. Seems very comfortable so far and very adjustable. Green colour is very nice too, if you into a bit of colour in your day. So far, definitely recommended.
